I don't see why not. It is quite deep, so you should make sure you have clearance for the disposal and plumbing. I love this sink.

Thank you for your question on the Elkay ELG2522GS0 Quartz Classic Single Bowl Drop-in Sink. Elkay Quartz Classic sinks are molded with up to 80% natural quartz and high performance acrylic resins that are non-porous providing superior heat, scratch, fade and stain resistance. The weight of the sink is 29 lbs.

Q: Does this provide the option of an under mount as well?

We mounted on top of counter. This sink has a larger facute back. You would need to make the cutout smaller to cover the back end. Also need different undercounter fastners. I would recommend just getting the under couter sink to prevent problems
