Excellent fun, built to last and comes with everything you need
I got hold of this item on a bit of a whin and to be honest I am very happy with it, it would make a great gift as well as just being a fun toy for anyone around the house to have a play around with. The size of the car is fairly decent - with a durable plastic body. This should ensure that when you crash it - which you will - into the skirting boards - you're unlikely to make any marks on the boards or damage the car. I've had many bumps so far and it's still in one piece. The car itself has lights built in - they don't really do much other than light up but they add a little something. The controller is also very easy to use - with a twisting handle for your left and right turns and a trigger for moving backwards and forwards - depending on which way you press it. That is pretty much it.As for speed - it is fairly speedy and moves quickly around the house - controlling it is fun and again relatively simple albeit difficult at quicker speeds as it does move quite fast.It comes with all included parts including rechargeable batteries which are charged with the included cables which then go into USB port.It is ultimately a very straightforward toy, that is fun and easy to use and setup - fairly safe for younger children as all parts included are secure and there is nothing that can be swallowed once in place.Overall it is fun at a great price. Absolutely no complaints and would definitely recommend it

A great introduction to RC for the younger generation...
Cheap and cheerful .... just what you need as a first RC car for the little one (5 yrs plus I would say)2 x batteries for the car supplied but none for the controller 🙁.The car batteries are held in with a screw ... a little bugbear of mine as the screwdriver can be lost easily ...If you are on a day out with your child and you loose it .... game over! . In my opinion a simple twist lock is sufficient as a child old enough to use this car to its potential would have the knowledge about batteries and the fact they don't go into mouths e.t.c ! And I'd like to think the child would be supervised during use !The longevity of the toy depends fully in the ruggedness of the car and how easy it absorbes knocks and bumps .... you will NOT find spares should anything break and will have to use your intuition and skill to repair anything should the need arise. If you look at it for what it is intended then the price point is great .... it is not proportional in the throttle or steering so its all or nothing... but it will give your child an understanding of how to drive a basic RC car and a good stepping stone to move onto a £100+ build as a next adventure ....Having spent my younger years driving my old Tamiya Holiday Buggy I know how much fun this can be for a child .....Have fun !Hope this helps....

Fun Car
The media could not be loaded. Lights up, lots of battery and easy to control. What more could you want? The wheels aren’t great on wooden floor, kind of… depends if you want to do a lot of drifting. There is a lot of power from that single cell battery that goes in the bottom of the car and the wheels spin up really fast, a little too fast for traction on wooden floor. In our kitchen we had tiles and it performed better there.Once the battery had been used for about 20 minutes the wheels weren’t quite as fast and did make it a lot easier to control. The problem is it’s all or nothing, for forwards backward or left and right. The wheels go full lock left or full lock right with self centring.Don’t get me wrong it was super fun being able to drift and under steer around corners, spin and reverse etc, but it would have been nice to be able to have a little less power when just trying to move it out of narrow gaps I had slammed it into. The entire car body lights up and looks great at night, the hand control is the ones with a wheel on, took a bit of getting used to it as I wanted the wheel on the other side but I get there in the end.Very fast, very fun, lots of power. Spare battery included so you can recharge off power banks etc when out side with them. Quite durable and have a nice range to them.

Fun, but don’t expect too much.
The car is certainly quick. There’s no speed control and the steering is just left and right full-lock, it’s not proportional. This all makes it rather tricky to control, especially in small spaces. This car needs lots of room!Batteries are kept securely in place with a screw on each battery cover.Construction feels a bit cheap, I’m not sure this will stand up to much bashing.

Great fun at a great price
The media could not be loaded. This Vatos RC car will require 2 x AA batteries for the controller so bear that in mind if purchasing.Once you have charged the supplied batteries and hooked one up to the car and inserted the batteries in the controller you are ready to go, and bot doesn't it ever go.The trigger on controller is a semi loop which your finger sits inside of, pull for forward and push for reverse, there is a wheel on the side, this for controlling the direction. For me, the first time use of the controller was a bit like that challenge of rubbing you head and tummy at the same time, it does a bit of concentration and coordination but after awhile it does become kind of natural. So, once you have the knack of the controller the fun starts and even for me in my late 50s it was fun, and driving it in the rain made it even better. The lighting can only be appreciated in the dark or low light but then I found I couldn't really see where it was going. The only negative I have, is that you can't control the speed, it's either full throttle or full stop which kind of makes this a toy for large open areas. I did manage to control the speed by constantly pulsing the trigger but it wasn't smooth at all.Over all, this is a great rc car and at the current price of £12.99 I personally think it's at a great price.

Cant handle grasses
It can't handle grass, and it doesn't go straightforward, despite how hard you try to use the adjustment control.
