Mose Cafolo Chinese Mahjong Set X-Large 146 Numbered Melamine 1.5" Large Size Tile with Carrying Travel Case, English Manual, Pro Complete Mahjongg Game Set (Majiang, Mah Jongg)

Love everything about this Mahjong set. I chose Mose Cafolo’s White Ivory color in X-large tiles for its beautiful classic style and would definitely buy it again for all sorts of reasons. These X-large tiles have a quality weight that feels solid and pleasing in the hand…and they make a very pleasant sound when “washing" the tiles. They are excellent to play with and large enough that I don’t need to wear glasses to see which tiles are being played. I bought these to play Chinese Mahjong; however, since there is an American Mahjong group nearby thought it a good idea to get 8 matching joker tiles. Customer service was excellent and immediately sent them to me for only an $8 shipping fee. Amazing! Of course, racks and sliders are not necessary when using these hefty tiles, but I ordered some for possible occassions when they might be required for American Mahjong. If you do the same, be sure to get 20” racks…preferably with magnetic sliders. I would also recommend a 33” mat for these beautiful X-large tiles. Also, as mentioned in numerous reviews, the little boxes holding the individual tiles are a bit fragile. If necessary, tiles can always be carried in a cloth bag, but I love the beautiful case they came in. A friend with a 3-D printer has agreed to make me identical boxes, so potential long-term problem resolved! In summary: I love this Mahjong set and have already highly recommended it to friends and family members. Can’t beat the look, quality, cost and customer service!

Okay. Right off the bat. I'm just gonna' say it... This review needs 2 categories it's rated on. 1)The actual tiles. 2)The case That being said, this entire package was $65.00.... for full almost sized Chinese Mahjong tiles... the type my grandma and all her friends played with when I was a kid. She played with 40mm tiles. These are 38mm. So my final star rating was price to tile. Now the details... Tile Price to quality? 5. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This entire case clocked in at almost 14 pounds! When tiles are that heavy. You know it's going to be pretty good quality. Look at the bevels on the corners. Nicely rounded but not too curved. The blue is like a baby blue. Which looks awesome on a dark play mat. One tile had a little scuff on it I can't get rid of. But then I remind myself... This entire set was $65. The inside case liners... ⭐Terrible. They're probably going to break before tomorrow. So flimsy. Not sure how long the outside case will last. But be prepared to have to replace or 3D print new tile inserts. You can see the inside was already delaminating at the edges and I just took the tiles out. The outside feels like the equivalent of something cheaper than a trapper keeper from the 80s. It's a thin plastic or vinyl and probably filled with a thin cardboard box (a pizza box feels more sturdy) EDIT: after 2 weeks... the inside red liners are now useless. Had to have my cousin make 3D printed boxes to fit the case. Eventually this case will go too... For an extra $5 they should have put quality inserts and make the case just a little more sturdy. One star for the case. And finally the video with the sound... These tiles do not sound or feel cheap. This is them on the battlefield using a 35 inch play mat

This is a beautiful mahjong set. I love that it comes with larger 1.5-inch tiles—they’re easier to handle and see during gameplay. I also specifically wanted tiles with numbers, which makes it much easier for my family and me to identify the character tiles. I’ve owned multiple mahjong sets, and this is by far the best one. The price is also cheaper than the other sets ive purchased in the past. The case is higher quality and more durable than others I’ve had, and I really like the dragon design on it, it’s a nice touch. Another big plus is that this set includes instructions. My previous sets didn’t come with any, so it’s great to finally be able to learn different ways to score and win. you won’t regret buying this set. I am going to try to purchase the other colors in the future and no i am not being paid or recieving anything for this review. This is my honest review. Lol

This is a beautiful set. Tiles are a good size and stand up by themselves. No need for racks. The handle on the case broke after only a handful of uses. Very disappointing. The case is not sturdy at all. I had to scramble around under my car to gather up all of my tiles. I would like to edit my previous review. Although the handle on my case broke and I had to scrabble around under my car to retrieve my tiles, this company made it right immediately upon learning about it. They promptly replaced the case! Wonderful customer service. The tiles are beautiful and a very nice size and heft. I have gotten many compliments on them. I’m so excited to learn the game of Chinese MahJong. My friends and I have so much fun playing 2 to 3 times a week. This set of tiles gets lots of play.

I love these tiles! Theyre a good size, thick, heavy. They feel good quality. I also love the color. The case itself doesn't feel sturdy but I feel that is how most traditional mahjong cases are. Just have to handle with care. All the etching is clear and does not feel or look cheap at all.

I am very happy with this set. I am new to Mahjong so researched a bit before buying a set. This has the normal/ Arabic numbers so my family all knew which tile we were looking at. They are nice and big and seem of excellent quality. Compared to other more expensive sets, I can't imagine why this set isn't just as good if not better. Beyond this, the seller was amazing to deal with. I was hoping to play American Mahjong shortly after learning traditional Chinese Mahjong. The seller was super helpful in having me add jokers to this set so I could do so. I am more than 100% satisfied and wish other products and sellers on Amazon were this excellent. If I had to nitpick any issues, the case (especially the internal cardboard storage) is not very sturdy and will probably fall apart before too long. Again, I knew this going in and am still beyond pleased with this purchase! Thank you!

I loved this set unfortunately after I excitedly opened discovered it was a Chinese set and to play with my group needed American. Returning but wanted to review. Tiles are quite nice, good weight and size. The case is lovely, very substantial. Wish it would have worked out, I liked much better than the American set I ordered , the price was better and so was the quality.

I would definitely recommend this set. This set works well and we use it without tile racks. The pieces stay up on their own making them very easy. They feel solid. Only issue is the weight - they are heavy so if you move your set around a lot you may want to go with a lighter set.

The instructions could’ve been better “translated”. In the end, I had to lookup the instructions online and found various styles. The carry case was cheaply made. For the price, I expected more.

Great Mahjong set. The tiles are big. I am new to this game, so one of the reasons I chose this set is that the tiles have numbers in the upper corner and this way are more recognizable (which is also great when you introduce the game to friends). Also I like the fact that the designs on the tiles are more colorful than most others on the market. That’s just a question of esthetics, changes nothing to the game. The chips are pretty cheap, the carts holding the different sets of tiles are flimsy, and the case is not top quality, but I knew that after reading the reviews and when I bought the set. What made me decide to choose this mahjong set over other sets are the tiles and the price of the set. As a beginner and for a first set, I think this is a great choice.

Good price. Well packaged. Its still not the biggest size and there's some cracks on some tiles, bit annoyed but it will do

Nice tiles, very well detailed and number are readable unlike others that can’t make out the numbers 5, 6 & 9 on the characters. Very happy with this set. Recommend it for beginners.
