Bad QC, same manufacturing date but completely different in so many ways
Purchased 2x of these monitors as an upgrade to the 24" Illyama setup I had. First impressions where very good, great colour accuracy across the 2x monitors, simple setup and HDR popped really well, at first I was pleasantry surprised of the product vs price.I then noticed after a few days that there were a couple of pixel on one monitor that seemed to be white, so carried out a pixel test and found that they only changed when displaying a yellow or white screen (back, blue, green and red you could see them). So Amazon kindly sent out a advanced replacement.Got the replacement monitor installed and switched on and found straight away the task bar was a very dull grey but didn't really put any though to it straight away. I went to sync the settings of the replacement with the first good monitor and realised that the OSD was different and different options that weren't displayed compared to the first monitor. Anyway carried on with matching the settings to HDR and realised that the colour profiles in HDR are completely different. Made sure that Windows wasn't doing something strange (as we know that Windows is Windows) and noted that the original monitor was working in 10-bit but the replacement was 8-bit with dithering. Try every which way of Sunday and nothing worked to even get the colour profile to match each other. There is a shadow to the right and left hand side of the replacement. Acer help centre just goes round and round and cannot verify the product when trying to prep an email (might be a Acer website problem). So decided to return al the monitors and look for a different brand. All in all, if you were only require one monitor then made dabble and see what you get, otherwise I would stay away from this product.
