Best knives you can buy. They cut so smooth, easy to sharpen and use, high quality german steel, durable and heavy knives, the size of it all is great and even the steak knives are so sharp, I knicked myself with one the other day just washing it. Love how great they are and the value for my money.

I previously ordered a Babish pan and was a HUGE fan of the quality for the price, so I wanted to try out another cooking set to try it out. I decided on this knife set to give it a shot. First impressions that, much like the cookware, I really appreciated the long handles on the larger blades. It's easier to handle and to get a good cut on whatever you're chopping. The blades are very sharp out of the box, so be careful! Even the many serrated steak knives have a razor sharp back-blade to them, which is nice! The breakdown on care and what the knives to is actually great - I feel like Babish does a great job of educating viewers, and explaining what knife should do is really helpful I grad the right one for the right scenario. I have a Cuisinart set that was pretty decent, but I find these lighter, easier to use, more sturdy and more to the point (no pun intended). The storage block has a bit of a rubbery like material, which is nice for accidentally bumping the outside (unlike a wood bloc that I have) that reduces nicks and cuts. Contrary to popular belief, the "sharpening steel" included is a honing device - which is meant to realign the blade from being crooked or bent for an even cut. You'll still need a sharpening solution to maintain your blades. No blades will stay sharp forever, in fact, they'll always dull in a couple months if you don't have a way to properly sharpen them. The carving fork is, surprisingly, insanely helpful. I cook chicken breast every week in bulk and usually use silicone tongs and I have to be careful not to nick them. Usually tongs are a BBQ reserved tool, but holy crud these things are handy when cutting meat accurately and quickly! Overall, a great set if you need multiple large cutting knives and a quality set of NICE steak knives. Babish, you might be a Youtube celeb, but I feel your cookware has a element of thoughtfulness that is appreciated as a fellow home cook.

I had been wanting to upgrade my knives for a little a long time but could never justify spending the money to get a premium set. Saw these at the store one day and bought a single knife on a whim to see how I liked them. Out ofnthe box it was an 8 inch razor, super sharp and after 9 months they have not lost there edge one bit. Have never needed to sharpen them, just a few swipes on my honing rod and they are still like brand new. The handles are super comfortable in the hand and they have a great weight to them. These are a must for any home cooking buff who wants a good set of sharp knives without spending a fortune.

I love good quality knives, and I even more so love affordable good quality knives. These knives are honestly on par with some others that are 4-6 times the price. The magnetic knife block just adds to the beauty of it all, it's elegant on the kitchen bench, and is more than strong enough to hold your knives without having to worry about them falling if you bump it. It also has space on the other side to hold kitchen scissors or more knives.
