Dreambaby Adhesive Mag locks (8-Pack 1 Key) - Child Proofing Cabinet Magnetic Latches - White- Model L859

I just got 2 - 2 month year old kittens and finally letting them into kitchen but needed to kitty proof it first. I installed last night but it was easy. When I open the packaging with scissors I accidentally cut the instructions as well so I was putting these on without instructions. I did watch one youtube video which sort of helped but not really. I didn't have the patients to get pen and ruler out to measure...but that's probably why I had to un-stick the locks a few times so it matched up with the locking mechanism I put on top but the stickiness is so good that I was able to move things around without losing all the adhesive. So, if like me and you don't have instructions or don't want to read instructions, my word of advice is to gently place the sticky part on surface until you know the parts line up nicely so that you don't have rip the lock off and chance it not sticking anymore. And the more you do the better you get at placement.And it's really cool how you don't see any locks but when you do want to unlock, just get out the crazy strong magnet key and move it over the surface of where you placed your locks. You should hear a little click (that's the lock going down) and your cabinet door is unlocked. So far so good.

Pro's-Clean look from the outside.-Inexpensive-Installation is easy once you get the hang of it.-Decent build quality-Ability to deactivate lock with an easy button press-Fits on MOST cabinetsCONS-Stick tape really isn't an option other than assistance with placement. Screws are pretty much required to keep these in place. (On the up side the screws are still provided.)-These will NOT work on every cabinet / drawer. There are soo many variations they simply can't work on all of them. Installation on my drawers was pretty much impossible but cabinets where a breeze.-One of the locks was defective and would only occasionally unlock. I opted not to install it at all for fear it would simply stop working completely. The other 7 where fine.Overall these were a great purchase for us. They work great and keep anyone out of our cabinets that don't know how the locks work. Our 1 1/2 year old son is no longer raiding all of our cabinets.Word to the wise. Use the screws, don't expect the tape to hold. Pre-drill the holes with a small drill bit then screw in. I tried doing a few without pre-drilling and it took forever and was annoying. Using the drill and a regular screw driver a cabinet would take less than 5 minutes to install. Drawers are terrible pretty much no matter what or what product you use.

I installed these on my baby's dresser. The instructions were very unclear and pretty much useless. I chose these locks for the adhesive option, but unfortunately that didn't work at all. I still didn't want to use screws, so I got a bottle of Gorrila Glue and installed the locks using that. That worked much better. I still had a lock that just didn't work. Not sure if I would use this product again.

These are the best. I have purchased 3 sets now over the years. They adhere to the cabinets so no drilling or screws to damage your cabinets, or if you're a renter like me they are even more ideal for not causing damage. They come with a guide for installing to line up the bits, and you can even turn them "off" if you don't need them. We installed them at my mothers house too & she only turns them on when the babies are over. Another plus is no ugly baby proofing things to look at, the locks are completely hidden when drawers/caninets are closed. Just remember where on the cabinet you installed them & you're good to go!

I bought this a week ago & recently installed them in my kitchen. If I could return them, I would. The latch doesn’t always pop back up, even when there’s no magnet around so I’m constantly having to check that they actually lock. I would not recommend using on drawers — they’re bulky, don’t fit in the drawer properly & because of this have a tendency to pop off if you install using the adhesive. I also would not recommend purchasing if you have a strong or determined baby. Some pop right open with little to no force.

I've had these for over a year! I bought them since I live in an apartment so the adhesive is a plus. I followed instructions and youtubed it. Set them up at night, went to work the next so they had time to stick about 12 hrs. My cabinets are very thick and they still worked. Got these since my 10 month old was obsessed with opening cabinets 24/7. Always had food, pots and pans, and cleaners on the ground. The cleaners under the sink cabinets and bathroom was what was most important to keep away. We keep the magnet lock on the fridge and it has never gotten lose. My daughter is now 24 months and still can't get in the cabinet. There is no way she can break this off. My husband broke one off after I put them on because he forgot which of course I was mad but I was able to stick back on no problem. They are all still intact over a year later. My 10 month old would fuss and moan for a week or so because could no longer get in the cabinets but eventually gave up that habit after being unsuccessful in getting it open. Yay! We know have grandkids in the house and we needed someway to lock the cabinets. These things are remarkable. They can be deactivated when the grandkids aren't around. A little challenging to install but not bad. Just use the supplied template and you'll be find. We love them. The doors don't open at all. I've already bought 3 packs of them. I highly recommend these for anybody who has young children around.

These are a good idea and are easier to install than most. However, i had to screw some in cause they didnt stick to well. Also, my toddler has figured out that if he pulls hard enough it will open.... But maybe I didn't line them up well enough? I'll be moving soon and install them again. And will update if the problem continues.
