If you have a bit of excess it can be cut off and the rest of the lights will still work. If you put them on 20" wheels, we suggest you don't so you can put them on a larger wheel later, but that's up to you. **Q: will this work with disc brakes?** A: I have disc brakes and had a little bit of trouble with the rear wheel, because the chain is on one side and the disc brake on the other. This caused some problems when installing the battery mount. No issues with the tubing. I had to play around with positioning so that I could screw in the bracket onto the battery pack. I was able to find a position where my screw driver could go THROUGH the disc brake and into the screw to tighten the bracket. This might not work with every type of disc break, might have to do some trial and error. **Q: Will these fit 29" wheels?** A: Hi Steven,It says under the description - "Light fits bike wheels 20 inches and up, on standard spokes"Best,Ash **Q: How do batteries affect wheel balance?** A: The battery pack sits inside or between the bike spokes, it doesn’t effect the balance of the wheel whatsoever. It doesn’t effect my bike, I don’t have any balance issues with my bike. ## Frequently Bought Together - Brightz WheelBrightz LED Bike Wheel Lights - 2025 Edition with Superior Straps & LED-Weatherproof Shield! 14 Colors - Unmatched Durability, Visibility & 48+ Hours of Dazzling Illumination - Brightz CosmicBrightz LED Bike Frame Rope Light - 6.5-Foot String Rope - Battery-Powered with On/Off Switch - Ultra Bright Color Keeps Your Ride Fun and Safe for Kids, Teens, & Adults - Brightz GoBrightz LED Bike Frame Light - 4 Modes for Flashing or Constant Glow - Fun Safety Light Bike Accessories for Kids to Adults --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/6434317-brightz-bike-wheel-lights-2-pack](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/6434317-brightz-bike-wheel-lights-2-pack) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-31*
