I've had lower back surgery and I'm always trying to find ways to be more comfortable when I sit, especially whenever I have to sit for a lengthy amount of time. I saw this Dr. Scholl's lumbar cushion and thought I would give it a try. As soon as I unwrapped it I put it behind my back and felt an instant relief. Ahhhhh, so nice! It is soft enough to squish just a little for some comfort, yet firm enough to provide that needed support. It also feels cool against my back and doesn't make me sweat. I've used it quite a bit already, and am loving it so much! I may need to get another one just to have one in my house and one in my car. I love it and highly recommend it!

It's very nice and cushy, but it's bigger than I would expect for lumbar support, tried to use it at work but it's just too much pillow.

I bought this for my husband to use. He's had a lot of back surgery, and always uses a small memory foam traveling pillow for lumbar support in the car. But the pillow got lost recently. So I hoped this would be an ideal replacement.Unfortunately, the size is just not small enough to add exclusive lumbar support. It extends up to the thoracic spine as well. While intuitively, it seems like more support would be better, this effectively just pushes the lumbar forward and leaves it unsupported again.Also, the memory foam in this pillow is not as firm as the previous, perfectly effective pillow we had.So now I am searching to find the perfect replacement for that product. This isn't it.It does not work with Recaro sports car seats. It's too wide.

I like this back pillow. It is comfortable but I do find it a bit short. I definitely feel it should be higher/ taller as it just kind of cuts off and leaves your mid/ upper back and shoulders with nothing behind them. It is well made and didn’t come with an odd smell at all, which I appreciate.

When I opened this ‘Dr. Scholl's UltraCool Gel-Infused Lumbar Cushion’ I thought it was going to be too firm/stiff, but the gel/foam combination compresses really nicely to provide support without feeling like you have a rock in your lower back (or compresses so much there is no support). I also thought it might not be wide enough, but it feels just right. I’m using it in the car. I’ve tried quite a few lumbar cushions (plus pillows galore) and this is the best one.The only thing I’d like is for the strap to be a bit longer. It won’t fit around my bucket seats or my leather lounge chair.

This is a decent upgrade from a small throw pillow I keep in the truck for lumbar support, while driving long distances. It has the right amount of soft/firm squishiness, and is well made in its simplicity. I even lend it to my S/O for their longer daily commutes. If pricing is less of a factor, this is an absolute recommendation, however it does seem pretty expensive for what you get, given that it isn't a revolutionary improvement over the pillow method. It definitely looks nicer and more appropriate for specialized use, however!

I've been dealing with a lot of lower back pain lately, and wanted something to try and ease some of my discomfort when sitting for extended periods. This provides great lumbar support, and I am able to comfortably lean against it for hours at a time without feeling like it gets overly warm to the point that I want to get up and let it cool off for a bit.It is a bit on the smaller side which makes me curious how effective and comfortable it'd be for people larger than I am. Overall, it works fine for my body size and shape. For reference, I am 5 foot 7, weighing roughly 165 pounds.
