Love this umbrella! Some reviews said it wasn’t tall enough but those people must be giants bcuz I actually think it’s somewhat too tall! I can stand under the lowest point (the edges) and barely reach it with my hand overhead. And I’m 5 foot 6! It’s sturdy & the base is very heavy duty, need some muscle to actually move it. Don’t try to move it by carrying the unbrella though cuz it will pull outta the base & scrape the pole up (learned that the hard way!) would highly recommend this set!!!

Upon receiving the product I didn’t receive the base. I reached out to the seller (provided pictures) and they immediately had one shipped. So, I am giving them 5 Stars based on their excellent customer service. In addition, the product itself is great! Just what I was looking for. The umbrella was really easy to set up, looks great, material of the umbrella feels thick and of great quality. The base is very heavy and sturdy! I highly recommend this.

I purchased this umbrella along with a base, and both were very easy for this middle aged woman to assemble on her own. I love the red color! It is sturdy and winds up and down easily and smoothly. I'm not quite tall enough (5'7") to reach over the table to get to the button to tilt it, so I do need to stand on a chair. That may be the same issue with any umbrella. The "up" and "down" arrows on the handle are reversed, but that is not an issue for me. I've had this for about a month, and I am very happy with it. Update - I've had this umbrella for a little less than a year. I had it on my patio for most of last summer. I brought it inside during bad weather. I opened it and used it 8-10 times, always closing it up after use. I stored it indoors, inside it's box all winter. My point is that I took good care of it, hoping it would last a while. I just took it out again a couple of weeks ago and put it up. Within about an hour's time it broke. The part that keeps it from tilting snapped. I contacted the company via Amazon to see if I could get a replacement part, as the rest of the umbrella is fine, and I really like it. That was a week ago and I have received no answer, so I will clearly need to purchase something new. The umbrella is completely unusable as is. Very disappointing. Seems it should last a lot longer than that. I've changed my rating from 5 stars to 1.

The umbrella is nice. I ordered the 11ft. It did NOT COME WITH THE BASE. I would have ordered one as I needed it today but it says it comes with one and did not. Updating my review. I’m not sure if they ship separately or if they overnighted it after my message, as I never got a reply but the base arrived and is pretty heavy. Very nice, heavy umbrella and base. I think k it will hold up in the wind just fine!

The one I bought came with a flat base, not the fillable kind which they now list it as. At the time, this product said that the base was enough to hold the umbrella in place, well, it was not. Not even five minutes of it being installed and a little gust of wind knocked it over, breaking two of the umbrella supports which seem to be made very cheaply. I don't want to have to repack it all for a return. I had to place bags of rocks now to hold it in place. I either want my money back or a replacement umbrella. UPDATE: After submitting the complain, the company did right by me and sent me a new umbrella. Now I have a proper sand bag to keep it in place, but I will stand by the fact that the supports are pretty weak which is why I took off one star still, but as long as it doesn't fall again, it should be fine. I thank the company for doing the right thing.

Fantastically holding up during these very windy days, base is 30lbs which is great for holding the umbrella steady, color matches as advertised, your average outdoor umbrella can tilt as well, ok price for the pair ( umbrella and base) wonderful customer service.

The base came before the umbrella. I notified the retailer and they responded right away. They said I would receive the umbrella soon. Within four days it was delivered to my door. The base was heavy so I had to roll it out to my patio. The umbrella was in one piece and installing it in the base was a breeze. The umbrella is beautiful and made with water-repellent material. I love how it looks on my back patio area.

Now that I have read other reviews, I know I need sand bags to hold the umbrella steadier. It has blown over twice while unfurled and once while lowered and tied. Fortunately the struts were not damaged. Ruined several plants when it crashed on them as well as broke a hanging light feature when the closed umbrella fell on it. The crank is in an awkward position. You have to duck under the partially opened umbrella to finish opening it completely. Both my 6 ft. tall husband and my short 5'4" self have difficulty opening and closing without getting enveloped in the material. I am currently watching it move around in a light breeze. Would definitely not recommend in windy environments. Maybe it would work more securely in an outdoor table with an umbrella hole. Freestanding is not sturdy at all. Update Aug. 12 2021: the apparently inevitable happened. We returned after a brief drive to the market to find the umbrella, out of base, upside down on deck. This time a strut broke. We put it back up to see what had happened. It appeared one brace broke off completely. We secured it very tightly. I came inside to take photos to have it lift off again with me standing under it. The brace that was broken stabbed through the fabric. The cuff at the bottom blew away (later found). I watched it literally rise up out of the secured base. Barest of wind gust. So...contacted seller, they were apologetic and requested photos of damage. I sent them. They sent me a parts list and I selected 3 out of 4 and they are sending them to me. Awesome customer service. Highly recommend this seller. Hope to get the parts soon. Will update if issues contine.
