Must have for advanced filaments
I got this filament dryer because I was tired of brittle, moisture-affected filament ruining prints, and honestly it’s made a noticeable difference. It’s big enough to fit two 1 kg spools at once, which is nice if you’re running more than one printer or like to keep a backup dry and ready. You can set the temperature for different filament types with a simple touch-screen setup, and it gets up to temp pretty quickly thanks to the built-in PTC heater. Using it has noticeably reduced the popping, stringing, and poor layer adhesion I was seeing with engineering filaments such as PPA or CF-ASA straight out of the bag. The sealed box stays tight even when it’s off, so your spools stay protected from humidity and dust when you’re not drying them. It’s been especially handy when switching between materials that love to absorb moisture. It’s not totally perfect — if you have very long setups with the filament fed through holes in the lid, you might have to fiddle a bit to get a smooth feed — but for the price it’s done exactly what I was hoping it would. Improved print quality immensely, and solved some of the print issues I was attributing to other factors. Definitely worth it if your prints keep looking off because your filament has picked up moisture.

Doing a good job drying filaments
So far so good It has 9 filaments presets out of the box It does have a high pitch sound but no a deal breaker. It is very quiet. You only notice it when you first turn it on I have about 20 spools of filaments need to be dried. I will do all in the next few days and update the review if something went bad So far it’s working like it should be

Keeps My Filament Happier Than My Houseplants – Solid 4 Stars
This Sovol SH02 filament dryer is the quiet hero my 3D printing setup didn’t know it needed. I’ve battled more brittle, moisture-logged spools than I care to admit—watching prints fail midway because the filament soaked up humidity like a sponge at a water park. Pop the spool in this sealed dry box, hit the gentle heat, and suddenly my PLA and PETG are behaving like well-behaved kids instead of dramatic teenagers. The built-in spool holder is smooth, the design is compact enough to sit neatly on my desk, and it actually works without turning my workspace into a sauna. That said, the temperature control could use a hair more precision for finicky materials, and I wish the viewing window was a tad larger so I could admire my perfectly dry filament in all its glory. Still, the moisture absorption game here is genuinely impressive—my filament stays crisp and print-ready for weeks, saving me time, money, and the urge to dramatically toss failed prints across the room. Nice!
Note this is the first time I've ever used a filament dryer, which after my many, MANY years of using a 3d printer without one, kinda labels me as totally crazytown that I didn't get one sooner. So, during this Christmas I made a bunch of things for my brother and sister. Along the way, I wanted to use some of my very old Sain Smart black TPU for friction fit lids for small containers. Soon as I set it printing, omg pops and crackles galore. It had sat on a shelf in a bag for years and was FULL of moisture. It was so bad off that it was actually leaving holes in the layer lines each time it would pop. I did order some new Sain Smart clear TPU but then I noticed that it too was crackling a bit after several days of use. Not bad enough to foul the prints, but it wasn't my only two spools to do it either. I also had an old-ish spool of ABS+ filament doing the same thing, and a very old spool of Taulman 910 popping the worst I've ever seen a filament crackle . This got me thinking; how many spools of filament do I want to have to get rid of because of moisture, and WHY haven't I gotten a dryer all these years?! So I got the Sovol SH02 with the really slick touchscreen LCD interface and plopped that crackling spool of Sain Smart black TPU into it. Figured out how to work the settings and had it go for a combined total of about 20 hours give or take at 55C. Finally decided to press it into service tonight on some hole plugs for a shelving unit, and am pleasantly surprised to report that while it is still sizzling a bit, it's very faint now, and it's not affecting the printing at all. It's printing beautifully just like it did when it was new. Nice and shiny, no gaps, no pops, no weird warping or layer separation or bed curling or any of that. It's behaving very nicely. I also printed myself a custom filament tensioner for the extruder to better handle TPU (this printer always had problems with feeding TPU) and now I don't even have feed problems anymore. Absolute power! :-) The dryer isn't silent but the noise it does make isn't that bad, it's a soft whirring noise in your background. It's a nice, sleek unit that neatly holds two standard 1KG spools of filament side by side on two roller bearing rails that spin very fluidly. The top has one hole for letting out heated air and water vapor, and also two front facing holes for filament to pass so you can run your filaments through and print while drying. For very long print times with very hygroscopic filaments, this is exactly what you want. And if you're like me and you're keeping filaments around for forever and a day, this just might save you having to throw old ones out due to moisture problems. And the LCD panel lets you quickly choose presets for all the popular filaments (PETG, ABS, TPU, PLA) as well as a bunch of specialty ones like PC, ASA, PVA, PP, and PE. You can easily reset your run time at any time so as to keep going, otherwise it will neatly turn itself off when the timer runs out. Default is 8 hours. Next on my list to try is to de-crap my ancient Taulman 910 which I never even tried to print with, and that old-ish spool of ABS+ which is not only crackling but also actually breaking. Never seen ABS+ do that before, but it's most of a spool unused and I'm no way just going to let that stand. If I can resurrect it, then that's a huge win right there. Otherwise it's just really nice to know that when I have crackling filament, this thing will easily resolve it. There may be better machines out there and cheaper, I wouldn't know. But you can't go wrong with this one. :-)

insufficient heat distribution
I used the default settings as listed on the device to dry 2 spools of PLA. After only 3.5 hours, I noticed the spools were tilting so I opened it and discovered it had warped/melted the spools on the side where it is closest to the heating element. Yes, the filament was drying, but the spools are no longer usable in my AMS. Obviously the temp control and/or heat distribution was insufficient, placing too much heat in one location. Will be returning.

Easy to use, efficient, worth it!
So compact, so efficient! A 2 spool filament dryer from Sovol, with multiple presets for time, humidity and temperature... Takes all the guesswork out of drying your filament. We keep our house in the 50% humidity so keeping my filaments dry is a chore. But plop 1 or 2 of the same type of filament a few hours prior, you'll have perfectly dry filament when you're ready to print. Make sure you vent during the dry process as described and you'll be ready to print in no time. Plus you can print straight from the dryer which makes it super convenient. I would highly recommend this dryer, esp at this current price point.

2 Spool Filament Dryer.
I waited a while to leave a review so that I could test this out on a couple different filaments. The first thing that is immediately noticeable able is the striking design of the unit. It is very compact as it follows the what af the filament spool. Its touch screen is very responsive. Compared to my Creality filament dryer, which shares a similar screen design, it is very responsive to my touch commands. The 2 ports at the top can be left open during drying to allow moisture to vent without having to prop the cover open. The vents can be closed after drying is complete in order to maintain a dry environment within the enclosure. Its locking front latch also allows for a more airtight environment and makes it extremely easy to move around when full. It allows for the drying of 2 spools of filament at the same time. I would highly recommend this dryer to anyone and everyone!

The Box That Convinced Me Plastic Spools Have Feelings
I bought the Sovol filament dryer after spending months blaming my printer for problems that were very clearly caused by me storing filament like decorative pasta. At first I thought, "How much difference can dry filament really make?" The answer was uncomfortable. The first roll of PETG I dried produced noticeably cleaner prints, less stringing, and fewer mysterious defects. Apparently filament prefers not to absorb half the atmosphere before being melted. The best feature is being able to print directly from the dryer. Instead of drying filament, taking it out, and immediately exposing it back to the air like some sort of moisture reintroduction programme, the filament stays protected while printing. My favourite moment was hearing PETG print without the occasional crackling and popping noises that I'd previously convinced myself were completely normal. They were not. The dryer is simple to use, heats reliably, and has quickly become part of my standard printing routine. New roll? Dryer. Old roll? Dryer. Roll that's only been open for six minutes? Surprisingly, also dryer. I've become the sort of person who talks about filament humidity levels as though I'm managing a wine cellar. "This PETG has been properly conditioned." "The TPU needs a few hours in the dryer." The printer doesn't care, but I certainly do. The only downside is that it reveals the truth. When a print fails now, I can no longer immediately blame wet filament. Sometimes the problem is my slicer settings, my design, or my decision to start a 14-hour print and walk away. Highly recommended. If you print with PETG, TPU, ABS, or pretty much anything that enjoys absorbing moisture, this thing is worth having. Five stars. My filament is dry, my prints are cleaner, and I've added "filament moisture management" to the growing list of hobbies I never expected to have.

結論から言えば、どのフィラメントドライヤーを買うか迷うならこれを買えばいいです。 真空パックや防湿庫など湿気自体を取り込ませない対処法もありますが、やはりそれでは限界があり最後には吸った湿気を吐き出させる道具(=ドライヤー)が必要になります。 このジャンルは他にも競合製品は多数ありますが、個人的には以下のような理由でこの商品を選びました。 ・簡易的な保管ケースも兼ねる ケースにパッキンがあり、バックルで蓋を固定できる=ケース自体がある程度の密閉を保てる構造になっています。 ケース底に乾燥剤を入れておくスペースがある事からも設計者はこのケースにフィラメントを保管する運用を想定しているようです。 ついでにいうとバックルで固定するので蓋を持って運んでも問題なし(バックルに負担がかかるので避けた方が良いとは思いますが) よくわかっとるデザインです。 ・必要な機能はあり、その割にコンパクト ファンによる空気の循環、ケース底の乾燥剤入れなど欲しい機能は一通りあります。 それでいてデザインは丸く、無駄に突き出したりしていないので、体積的にはフィラメント2本とそこまで差がないくらいにコンパクト。 ・ユーザーが多く、問題点は全て解決可能 最大の理由です。よく売れているから良い物”とは限らない”のですが、よく売れている分だけ”ユーザーの知見が蓄積しより良くなる”というのはあるでしょう。 この商品に関してはその点が極めて大きく、欠点自体はあるにせよそれを解決するための方法(プリントできるパーツ)は調べればほぼ出てきます。 ついでにひとつ: 空気穴が小さすぎて乾燥中の湿気が抜けきらない点に関してはバックルを蓋の間に挟めばちょうど良い隙間ができます。もしこれが意図した設計なら、このような応用を出来るようにするデザインは神技のそれです。 ・安い これだけ揃ってこの値段、しかも2本保管できます。競合製品より安い。 金額不問ならともかく、コスパを求めて買うのであればこの商品を上回る物は現状存在しないと思います。 (同価格帯の他の商品にはこの商品より性能が劣る or 自力でパーツをデザインしない限り解決できない課題があるので)

Responsive and easy to use.
I’ve not had these long but they seem to work perfectly. The touch action is responsive and easy to use. It maintains temperature well. Those that say it increases humidity need to understand humidity. It even says in the instructions to open the chamber a few times to allow the moisture to escape. When you do the humidity plummets and eventually stabilises. I don’t like the outlet option. I drilled two holes in the back so I can feed directly into my U1.

Great value pack
Prints smooth and easy. No tangles or stickyness. Lose 1 point for cardboard spools. Blue looks same as advertised on spool but prints a bit darker.
