As most people have already said, please DO NOT buy this just to experiment for yourself, please do your own research and make sure you KNOW what you are doing before using this. This really uses needles to puncture skin, so if you aren't careful, you'll be getting infections or even worse, irreversible infections that require surgery or may even cause disfigurement. We have a friend who is a skin care expert and knows what to do to teach my wife how to use this, she was with us in person and showed my wife each step of the way to safely and properly use this. We did see skin improvements on my wife after 2 sessions of using this, but she stopped using it as she thought the risks outweighed any small benefits she saw. We ended up giving this away to our skin care friend and she only uses this roller exclusively for my wife when she goes in for her treatment.

I have been researching led light therapy and microneedling to help improve the texture of my skin. I was very happy to find the two combined (along with blue light therapy) in this device. I read the instruction booklet thoroughly before starting. The actual set up takes only a few moments and it is very easy to learn to use it and switch between the settings. I was a little nervous that it would hurt because it is tiny needles pricking your skin, but I was pleasantly surprised that it felt more like a scratching feeling than getting a shot for example. I went up and down and then side to side twice as I had found that technique when I was researching microneedling. I put on my serums and other skincare products and went to bed. The next day I didn't really notice any difference but two days later and now three days later my skin feels firmer. Today (Monday) is the first day wearing makeup since using the product since I used it Friday night and I do not typically wear makeup on the weekend. My makeup looks better because my skin feels and looks smoother. I felt safe using this product. Everything comes sealed so it is sanitary and there is not a way to make the needles penetrate further than they are designed so I was not worried that I could hurt myself by misusing this product. I am glad that I tried this and I will continue to use it and look forward to seeing further improvement with each use.

This product is for those who have had or have been using microneedling treatment and for those who are eager to try microneedling after understanding what microneedling is.I have had microneedling treatment done by a professional before. I have also been using a manual microneedling device (manual derma roller) and recently tried an electric microneedling device. Any microneedling treatment or devices will leave red marks or even temporary dryness on my skin because of the micro injuries that the device has done to my skin. Those micro injuries promote new skin growth that overtime give a more vibrant look to my skin. Yes, it's not an instant process.Compared to manual microneedling or manual derma roller, this product is an upgraded version is more convenient. However, with manual or even electric microneedling devices, there are many different size of needles for different areas of the face. I am not sure if this product has other sizes available for purchase separately.Compared to an electric microneedling device, this product is not as intense as the electric one. So, it's better for a beginner who is eager to try. Bottom line, this is a great product and value for money, in my opinion.
