I could have gone with the unmarked black plates that many vendors sell for far cheaper but i went for these. They are pricy but worth it in my opinion. Why? 1. The gym looks more exciting once you have proper equipment that is not only functional but also looks awesome. 2. Standard Olympic specifications. 3. Weights are clearly labeled and easily readable (yes i am particular). Straight off the box, they have a citrus kind of smell. There was a bit of oily coating on them but that is for protecting the rubber while in storage and it easily wipes away with a dry microfiber towel. It will take a couple of days to get the smell to dissipate fully. i have mounted them on the wall behind the green 10Kg plates in the pictures.

I have sets of the 5kg, 10kg and now the 15kg model, they are well made, only issue I've had with them is the off gassing of the rubber, its pretty strong. I love the colours, black coloured weights are just boring I will be grabbing a set of 20kg once they are back in stock and letting them air for a few months before bring inside.

item is expensive but you get what you pay for, looks and feels like a quality product something that you would see in the local gym, very happy with my purchase.
