Very tasty legume but needs to be cooked well for best consistency

Ordered these and cooked up a stew with them. They held up and provided the perfect bit of crunch with a nice flavor.

These are pretty tasty! These were perfectly cooked after 12 minutes in the instant pot. I made curry with mine, but these would work great for homemade hummus or chickpea based sauces since the skin is already off. TAJ chana dal tastes pretty much the same as regular garbanzo beans, so they would really work for anything you'd want chickpeas for. This same brand has a 4lb bag for only a few bucks more though, so I'd recommend buying that version over this one!

Very delicious in my lentil soup. They say the split cooks faster, well it took the chickpeas longer to somewhat soften compared to the carrots and lentils. I will start the chickpeas sooner next time I make the lentil soup.

Just received my order. Product package was open and Dal was loose in the packaging.

Chana dal is basically split chickpeas. It cooks more quickly than chickpeas and makes the best, smooth, silky hummus imaginable.

These are quality and cook up beautifully. I usually soak overnight before cooking. Purchased multiple times now and will continue to order. Next time will get the larger 4 lb bag!

This chana dal is delicious. We've made it a few times, and it's turned out great. The beans cook up great, and are easy to add whatever flavors you want. It's hard to find these locally, so it's nice to have them online.
