A Convenient Smart Remote Solution
I recently purchased the SwitchBot Universal Remote, and while the setup process was a bit different than expected, it's turned out to be a great addition to my smart home. Initially, I thought I'd be able to program the remote directly, but I had to move the hub around to various devices and TVs for setup. Once everything was learned, it worked flawlessly. A few standout features make this remote really shine. The raise-to-wake function is fantastic—it adds a nice, modern touch that improves usability. The option to locate the remote via the app is also a cool idea and has come in handy a couple of times. The support for Bluetooth remotes is perfect, filling the gap left by Logitech. I hope SwitchBot expands this functionality further. My only suggestion would be to improve the app’s UI, especially when setting up the top four shortcuts, which feels a bit clunky at the moment. Overall, this device has a lot of potential, and I’m excited to see where SwitchBot takes it, especially with the addition of more Matter-compatible products. It's a great alternative to Logitech’s discontinued remotes.

Great replacement for Harmony remote
Had a harmony remote for many years but the buttons are wearing out and logitech don't make these anymore. The 2nd hand ones look worse for wear Switchbot remote looked an ideal replacement. I had been using switchbot mini hub for awhile and had configured various remotes into the app to use on my phone. However using a phone as a remote offers no physical buttons. I don't want to have to unlock my phone, open app and then locate button to turn the volume down. Now that switchbot did a physical remote I got one. I was able to sync my preconfigured remotes to the physical remote in a few minutes. Afterwhich you need to manually assign functions to the physical buttons (sync does not make a good guess at auto re-assigning). One of my remotes config controls 3 devices: TV on/off/input & sound, then a seperate soundbar volume control and a roku box, replacing 3 remotes. There are 4 additional programmable buttons, the 4th button allowing you to add multiple function which displays itself as a list you scroll and select, more for features you don't use often. Switched off the hub and I can confirm the remote control works independently i.e it has its own infra red beam. I know many have complained why do you need a switchbot hub. Well if you want to copy infra red signals, your phone cannot copy infra red signals, hence the use of the mini hub which can read and send out infra red signals. E.g. I wanted a function button to switch off 2 appliances at the same time (TV &soundbar) and set roku to home state. I achieved this by pointing all 3 remotes to the minihub while in learning mode and pressing 3 buttons at the same time and assigned this to the "off" button. Works well 4 annoyances worth noting and reason for 4 stars but nearly gave it 5. 1)On neflix when fast forwarding a show it is slower that using harmony remote but i can live with it. I would imagine the IR beam pulse is just slow 2)when i add a new function button to the remote control in the app and then resync. it wipes out all the buttons i had manually assigned. Major annoyance as I kept remembering new buttons to add. These are just painful setups, just makes you plan a head 3)4 programmable buttons are a bit low. 8 buttons would be better 4)I find the buttons too low down on the device so not so comfortable but I can adjust I would imagine the version 2 would be an improvement anyhow I am very pleased with this and would recommend All in All very happy with this

Dead on arrival
Would not power on at all. Tried leaving it plugged in overnight as they recommended and it still would not power on. Going straight back!

Good concept.
A good remote and excellent concept. Unfortunately, a little convoluted in actual use.

Overpriced and Limited Functionality
This all-in-one smart remote control is a bit of a let-down. The main issue is that it requires a separate hub to function, which isn't included and costs extra. This isn't made clear in the product description, so it feels a bit misleading. In terms of performance, it's quite slow to respond to commands and there's a noticeable delay. Given the price point, I expected more functionality and a smoother user experience.

Almost good
Ah, switchbot and their plastics. The thing with this is that it's light compared to the size but not the best to touch. While it works nicely and I can see many possible uses for it, it just simply not giving you the correct feel when used. You can train this to control TVs (had a hard time teaching it to control a 2020 TV), sound systems, fans, prurifiers, Switchbot ecosystem devices, HVACs, almost everything, it can also have 4 scenes via Matter. I really wanted to love this and replace my existing remotes. It's a good concept, nice display, responsive buttons and the USB-C charging is a great addition.

One remote to rule them all
This remote replaces all other remotes in my household. Convenient to use, I can program individual buttons even.

I like it
Setup more complicated than it should be but once it's done it works well very useful.
