Review for I Am Not Jessica Chen
I really loved the premise of this, what if you made a wish to be someone else and it came true. This books covers some pretty important topics such as the impact of severe jealousy and the strain that comes from comparing yourself to others. It explores the stress that exams and grades can have on teenagers and how much pressure they can feel from school, peers and family. I found this book difficult to put down, I just needed to know how things turned out for cousins Jessica and Jenna. There was also a really lovely romance which just topped off the story nicely. Definitely one to read if you like a bit of magical realism and a cute romance.

12 year old daughter rates 3 stars
Daughter (12) says: I thought this would be more of a psychological thriller but it was supernatural/magical and the plot was a bit annoying.
