Nice, affordable safe
I bought this safe to keep my toddler daughter away from my home defense gun. It seems to fit the bill nicely. The eight-digit keypad means millions of combinations (you can have repeated digits), and it seems well made. You can tether it to a fixed object using an included cable, or you can secure it to the floor or wall with pre-drilled mounting holes. One nice feature about this safe is that you can leave it plugged into the wall, to keep the battery fully charged. It uses a rechargeable lithium battery which is very easy to replace. It is important to know that the Bluetooth features for this safe are not at all secure; just run a web search to learn more. I'll knock off one star for that; a product should not ship with badly broken features. However, it is easy to disable Bluetooth fully. For me, this was a non-issue because I did not plan to use the key fob or app. I just wanted a good keypad safe.As far as physical attack resilience goes, Vaultek has set itself apart from some of its peers by customer support and being willing to address its own design flaws. Vaultek's first couple of safe models (not this model) could be easily defeated by using metal shims, paperclips, etc. When these flaws were made public by a consultant, Vaultek shipped kits to its customers which addressed the flaws. For the development of their newer safes, they hired the same consultant to review their design and make sure it was resilient.Another nice thing about this safe is that the user manual is very well written. All of the features are explained very well, which I appreciate since this is being sold as a critical safety device. There is another version of this safe which has a fingerprint scanner and is much more expensive. In my opinion, this safe is the better value. I can see a fingerprint scanner being difficult to use when you are in a stressed situation, and potentially unreliable since it is such a delicate device. I think a person is better off just learning to type in a key sequence quickly. I'm sure some will disagree, but that is my two cents. All in all, I have no major complaints about this safe. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple keypad safe.

Looks nice. Everything else, not so nice.
Safe Construction:The safe's construction itself seems fine. Stopping a thief isn't my primary concern since I believe that with enough time and the right tools, any safe can be defeated. I bought it because it looks really nice as part of my furniture and had some cool features. The foam on the inside is indeed heavy duty. My problem with the foam is that this safe does NOT work well as a travel safe as Vaultek and Youtubers advertise it to be. I have a VP9 and P2000SK with two magazines in the safe. When you tilt the safe on its side, all the contents are not held in place and slide down to one side. It would've been nice to have an extra spacer foam to make sure the contents are held snug. The lid has a little bit of play when closed. Not that big of a deal for me.Safe Access:I don't find the buttons mushy like some people say. My problem with it is if you press the key combination too fast, the safe detects it at a failure. I have to purposefully slow down which is not good in an emergency situation. The app itself is pretty much useless other than managing settings. To access the app, you have to draw a pattern on a 3x3 array of circles. However, the sensitivity of the drawing is not ideal. You then have to wait for the app to sync with the safe via Bluetooth. It so much faster and more convenient to just press the key combo.Lastly, I purchased a Smart Key Nano to go with the safe. It did not pair, so I had to open a ticket with support.I don't believe you can pair the Smart Key Nano and the included Smart Key simultaneously. To program a Smart Key, the safe erases any previously set Smart Keys first. This is somewhat mentioned in the manual saying that "multiple key fobs can not pair with one safe". However, the Smart Key Nano is not a "key fob" and I didn't see anything mentioning this before I bought it.I'll probably keep the safe and return the Smart Key Nano.

High quality safe, not your typical keyed-box
Very high quality and very well designed. From the second you take the safe out of the shipping box and you have the product box in your hands, you know this is going to be a quality product.Everything is very well packaged, easy to open, and the product is intuitive to setup. Good clear instructions are included and easily accessible for key code and FOB programming. There are lights on the key pad, key code indicator, USB port and inside the safe which are all a very nice touch. The protective foam bedding inside is supple and exudes high quality like the rest of the product. The one (very minor) thing I would mention, and this is admittedly being unnecessarily anal and picky; when the safe is closed, it has some play if you push down on the lid.I've only had a Vaultek for a couple of days and i've already recommended it to many people.

Awesome Design
The packaging was a joy to open and the documentation was perfect. The safe came with 2 keys, a key fob (not used) and the instructions for programming were spot on. I am thoroughly impressed with the design. I turned off the Bluetooth functionality and don't use the fob though the option to utlizie either is nice to have. I read about the app requiring many permissions about GPS location and what not, I absoluetly avoid apps on my phone that require more than the necessary access - so this one didn't make the cut. If they adjust the parameters then perhaps I would try it out. Battery life has been fine thus far, still on the first charge. I would say I am very happy with the safe. Thumbs up!

Best nightstand safe available
Package was delivered pretty beat up and half opened, but contents were undamaged. The safe is considerably heavier than comparable options.Pros:Programming the code,Bluetooth app, and keyfob took less than 10minutes and was very simple. The safe seems very well constructed and looks very aesthetically pleasing. It pops open pretty fast once you type in your code.Cons:The interior LED seems somewhat dim.
