BEST VALUE
Great value for this rare coffee. Nice and smooth flavor. I love the quality of the resealable bag that keeps it fresh with a well marked mfg and expiry date. I highly recommend hand grinding these beans and use a French Press. The aroma profile is spot on after grinding and brewing. I will say that when I first opened the bag I got a hint of your average store bought Arabica, just not as strong. Which threw me off a bit considering Vietnamese Kopi Luwak should be Robusta variety, not Arabica-but totally possible I suppose. I did have to remind myself that the beans were spot on (a bit smaller than Western Arabica) and could have been Arabica, Robusta, or Liberica...but most likely Robusta considering this product is from Vietnam. I normally drink black coffee (medium roast) and this is a bit lighter almost like a tea, but tastes great. Caffeine content is lower than I'm accustomed to, but what it should be for this product. I miss my time living in Bali and being able to drive to the coffee plantations and tasting freshly brewed samples before making a big purchase of my fav Kopi Luwak. I even had the wonderful experience of being bit by a civet cat before because I didn't know they were nocturnal and I tried to pet it while it was sleeping-my bad little guy lol!! Oh well...this will do for now. Time to put on some Thievery Corporation Radio and unwind with this great cup of coffee.

Worth Trying at Least Once — Smooth and Surprisingly Good
I’ve always been curious about Kopi Luwak coffee but didn’t want to spend a fortune just to try it. These MATINÉE Wild Kopi Luwak beans hit that sweet spot — affordable enough to experiment with, but good enough to actually enjoy. We brewed it as a pour-over, and the first thing that stood out was how smooth it was. Very low acidity, easy drinking, and none of the harsh bite you get from a lot of standard beans. It has a noticeably different flavor profile compared to everyday coffee, in a good way. It was also fun sharing it — we had a group of people try it, and everyone could taste the difference. No one felt like it was a gimmick. Is it something I’d drink every day? Probably not. But for the price, it’s absolutely worth trying at least once. If you’re curious about Kopi Luwak and don’t want to overspend, this is a solid entry point.

Great taste and splendid smoothness
I have tried many coffee and obviously this is not the wild kopi luwak where it’s from the poop of those cats , which is way way more expensive I guess it goes thru a similar manual fermentation process as they mention in the package . See attached image where I highlighted from the package . The acidity is all gone and tremendous smoothness . The unique flavor . I used a Turkish coffee maker kettle to make it and it was one of the best ways . See the kettle in the picture . Filled the kettle with half water and 4 teaspoons of coffee ground to regular coffee maker consistency and boil it and stir it on and off for 3-5 minutes until it gets all the flavors and then settle for 2-3 mins and then use a metal filter and pour it in a cup . Let it settle for a minute and pour again in another cup and let the bottom sediment out. Try it without sugar and it’s amazingly smooth and feel all the flavors without little or no acidity. I love it with just a teaspoon of sugar so it brings out more flavors . Great coffee for the morning without the bitterness and acidic profile . P.S : It’s best to try this coffee without any food or snacks as the flavors are very suttle and any addition to it will destroy the flavors . Great for early morning wake up coffee when your tongue senses are fresh and sensitive

It’s ok but not $80/lb good.
My boss gives it 5 stars, I give it 3 stars. But my sample had a mfg of 2/12/2024 and today is 10/1/2025. I will stick with my local roaster so I get mine roasted within a month of drinking it. Maybe if I had a fresher sample my opinion would be different.

Taste like coffee
Well my daughter mentioned that it is really good for tummy! So I ordered two different kinds! It taste a little different than coffee so I did not like it! I’m a Colombian coffee drinker so I like hard dark coffee but because of my Chrones I can have one cup of a really good coffee my daughter loved it

Amazing Flavor Palate
The hype is true. I wanted to try this since watching the movie "The Bucket List" where Jack Nicholson's character was pissed off he ran out of his fancy coffee. The flavor is gently complex and low acidity is never a bad option for avid coffee consumers. Highly suggest to zip up the beans in a small batch in the grinder and use a French press. The coffee silt on the bottom of the cup adds to the flavor!

I dont think so.
This coffee was mediocre at best. Flavor not there, Could it be the roast? Possibly but I doubt it. Is it worth trying? No save your money. I tried to drink all of it. Ground about half of it then just emptied the bean hopper in the trash.

The Fermented Lemur Bean Hype Was Real
Surprisingly good. Earthy spice and herbal notes abound. Reminds me of some Sumatran beans I've had before, but more complexity (and favour profile of those darker roasts as a medium) and body. Very reasonable small quantity price on sale, worth trying this Lemur bean thing; wish we got the larger bag after the fact. Just do due diligence on ethical harvest practices (some are force fed fois gras type operations that aren't worth the premium).

Excelente
