Possibly the best deal ever!
I've been playing for over 30 years, played around the world, been on a record label and have had endorsements with boutique brands. However, I wanted something cheap and small to take to Kenya, east Africa with me for a month. Something I wouldn't cry over if it got a scratch or stolen. After going over specs of short scale basses and watching videos, I decided to go for this Ibanez Mikro. Obviously wanting the best price for something that may or may not survive the trip, I found this deal with the bass, gig bag and tuner for the same price that others just sell the bass for.Upon opening the box, I noticed that this didn't look like an ordinary, cheap instrument. It almost had the illusion that it is much more expensive. About 5 minutes of setting intonation and tuning was all it needed. I plugged it in and my jaw dropped. This thing is phenomenal! It sounds way better than it should for this price. It also has good balance with no neck dive. I would have no hesitation about playing a live show or recording with this thing and may make it a point to do so.The gig bag it comes with is very well padded and I totally trust it being put in an overhead compartment of an airplane to not let it get damaged. The clip on tuner it came with is also fast and accurate. This may be one of the best bang for buck deals I've ever seen. Almost too good to be true. At this price point, including the gig bag, tuner, Allen wrenches and even a cable, I don't know how they make money on the deal. I will absolutely add these guys to my favorite sellers list.

Great Quality Bass for the Money
Been playing this for a couple months now. Played guitar for years. This is my first bass so not having anything else to compare it to I have to say I love it. It sounds and plays really well. It’s small and light. Smaller than my strat. I just did a little intonation as it was a bit sharp at the 12th fret. I drop it to D no problems with string tension (some say it rattled too much in drop tunings). The only negative so far is the tuning pegs feel thin and they’re a bit sticky or rough sometimes. Overall great bass for such a low price. Probably not a better value out there.

Intonation adjustments are inadequate
The tuning machines are not great, and the 'plastic' saddles do not provide enough movement to properly intonate. Every string was sharp at the 12th fret.. A,D &G I had to lengthen to their mechanical limits.. and all are still a bit sharp.. I really wanted to love this bass.. I am in my 60's and hand surgeries prevent me from playing my full scale bass.. (an old 70's Ibanez Rickenbacker copy) There is also an issue with tone pot producing static/noise at full treble setting.. have to wiggle to get it to work..

OUTSTANDING value for the money
I got this for my daughter, as my Fender J-bass it too big for her, and frankly, too expensive to let her play unsupervised. It's so nice, that I have started using it to play along with my son when he practices his scales on trombone. Honestly, it has a lot of advantages over a $$$ bass. I wish such a great beginner bass had been available to me 40 years ago!
