ARRMA Mojave GROM 4x4 RC Desert Truck, RTR, Blue/White

For the price, it doesn't get any better. For the size it has just enough power to be a perfect driveway/backyard basher. If you want more power, you can convert it to brushless for around $30-$50 and better shocks for around $40. The part support is going to be great because its name brand. Its perfect for kids and plenty of room to grow for more skilled drivers. I love it. The only thing that I would change right away is the shock oil, it is a little too soft. I would put about 40wt or 45wt shock oil in it.

It's built really tough, my son has crashed it into rocks and sidewalks and nothing has broke. The steering did become unaligned but it was an easy repair with no parts needed. Plenty fast for a brushed motor. Excellent value for the price. The only upgrade I recommend is the 100w charger with the screen to show you all the battery info. Update: The diffs finally broke like others had said. My son was beating the hell out of it, but it should have lasted longer. The internals are mostly metal, with a small plastic gear- that's the weak point. I bought knock-offs here on Amazon for half the price of the upgraded ones sold by Arrma. The fix is easy, just wish they included the upgraded diffs with the car.

Worth every penny, however the charger broke, as many others have complained, almost instantly. Since I was doing a brushless upgrade it wasn't a big deal for me. Way faster and better built then my Latrax and that's without ever being able to actually charge the factory battery. If you plan on keeping the car brushed, nothing wrong with it plenty fast from the factory, buy a decent charger or change the factory leads and enjoy. DO NOT expect the factory charger will work. It's crap and they'd be better off not including it. It was only a capacitor that went bad, a simple fix. However there are approximately 0 schematics that tell the specification of that capacitor and I tried 4 different ones none of which worked. I ended up deciding since it charges lipos it wasn't worth the risk to fix. Put too large of a capacitor in next thing you know it's charging to 4.8 volts. Just expect you need a charger from the beginning and problem solved. Update: I just bought a Typhon and the exact same thing happened. So it's definitely the charger. Skip this unless you want it as a chassis. In other words you plan to go brushless from the start or buy a new charger.

Servo was way off and always hangs right until it almost immediately had a dogbone break becoming just a parts piece for my 223 mojave grom which is actually assembled properly and running months later aside from a differential that didnt have its screws on arrival but beyond that I love these little things when they work and I plan to eventually make this one functional again and finally get my first 30 minites out of it but might just slap a 3s system in it I regret not going 223 again the quality is just a little better for the price

AWESOME! I have owned many traxxas trucks and can honestly say this is so much more fun, I purchased for my 7 year old son but have a hard time not playing with it myself. It takes a beating and is built like a tank it will not break. I was shocked on just how fast it is, there’s just something about a smaller rc truck it’s just fun! It handles amazing the suspension is great right out of the box. And yes it is ready to run you don’t need to purchase anything else. So cool I had to buy another one we now have 2 to race each other.

Fun basher. Servo, motor, and differentials are all junk. I was very disappointed to have the differentials fail pretty quickly, they claimed "all metal gears" but put plastic cups responsible for transferring all the power into metal t bones of course they were going to fail and at $40 a pop suddenly this car is actually $80 more than the sticker suggests. The brushed motor is junk and also failed pretty quickly but I expected that and planned on upgrading to hobbywing electronics anyways. Buy the 223 brushless if you don't plan on upgrading from the brushed motor right away. That said the car handles great, it's the perfect size for small tracks and backyard fun. It's taken some big hits and doesn't brake and the tires have lasted. Good aftermarket support too.

This everything I hoped it would be. I take this to the baseball field or hit the dunes and this little monster says. Feed me more. I only wish extra batteries were cheaper. Such a fun and easy to control Rc truck. Gets good air and will run through anything. Unbreakable.

Amazing short course style Arrma Mojave Grom. The truck arrived in a well packaged and secure box. No damage to the box or the truck and Contents. This rc I decided on purchasing due to the fact that it had everything to run the truck right out of the box. You don't have to purchase AA batteries separately or the lipo battery or charger. It's a well thought out rc. The truck is built very tough and is durable as they come. Very scale in looks and performance. Something that a teen to a adult would be able to operate and have hours of fun with. So if your wanting a rc off road or on road truck that's easy to transport and take with you anywhere this rc truck is for you. I'd really highly recommend this rc truck to anyone who is looking for a small truck design that has it all.
