Did not "rate" flavor or thickness (irrelevant for this product). I had a much older version (same company) that I used up but I'm convinced that this version has identical nutritional value to the older one (but seems slightly more dense). I still weigh out the amount I need (typically 3g) using a very accurate scale. Note that leucine is difficult to dissolve in water, and by itself is bitter to taste. I add other ingredients as part of my homemade mix (which includes leucine) and perhaps because of the other ingredients, it mixes much easier in water.

Agreed with others: great product fir muscle growth & support, absolutely does NOT mix in liquids, has a light bitter tastes. I found since it best taken with foods, I mix mine in with a 1/4 - 1/2 cup greek vanilla yogurt 😋 makes it very paletteable than.

Desagradable pero muy nutritivo

This product does not mix well with any type of liquid. I really wish I had read the negative reviews before buying it. That said, it does seem to be a solid product so far. The taste is extremely bitter, and I have to give credit to the person who suggested mixing it with peanut butter, that’s definitely the most effective way I’ve found. I also add honey to make it more tolerable, and I might start trying Nutella as well. It’s still too early to tell whether it’s working, but I have a feeling it will be helpful.

This product is pure as it gets!!

I believe this product is what it says, pure L-Leucine (great), but it's usage instructions are dishonest. This does not mix with "your favorite beverage", nor would you want it to. It smells and tastes absolutely disgusting, and in fact it cannot be mixed with fluids at all because it's hydrophobic, so you can't even tough out the flavor by chugging it. It just floats on the surface and clumps and sticks to the sides of the cup. I've never seen anything like it. You might try mixing it with food, but the flavor is so strong, you are liable to ruin whatever dish you mix it with. I ruined an entire bowl of rice and curry with one small scoop. The one way I have found to tolerably consume this is by mixing it into a large spoonful of peanut butter in a bowl, and then eating the peanut butter (better yet if you also add some agave), but adding this many calories isn't going to be for everyone, and it's a real ordeal mixing it. Among other things I tried, I added a drop of dish soap to a glass of water, and that allowed the leucine to mix into the water; this would obviously not be safe for consumption, but it does suggest one could probably get the leucine to mix into fluids safely with some sort of food-safe emulsifier, but I did not have one to test. If you buy this product to mix into "your favorite beverage", know that it will taste and smell very bad, and it will likely not mix into that beverage at all (at least not without possibly also adding an emulsifier). Bought this for my husband. He said it's working well for him. Will buy more when needed. It did take a long time to get it. LOL But it was worth the wait.

The product is ok. However it will not dissolve in coffee easily for some reason.
