As you can see in the photo description the Bible has a lovely smooth cover in rich brown. This cover is a great price too. It will definitely protect your Bible and there's a handle along the back outside spine that lays flat when not in use.The problem, and this is true of so many Bible covers, is that the zipper and surrounding fabric need to be more substantial. The zipper pull is adequate but you'll need to pull zipper with one hand and support or pinch the fabric under the zipper at each turn. I did try the old hack of adding machine oil through the length of the closed zipper and working it back and forth. That helped a little. It may be that over time it will become 2nd nature to open and close the zipper with both hands and you won't be bothered.For the rich look and reasonable price, I'd say just buy it.

Product is only used 1 time a week, with normal use & a lightweight bible: and the handle broke right after my return window closed!

I have a rather large commentary, life study Bible and was worried this wouldn’t zip well, but was proved wrong. Soft exterior feel.

Simple and lightweight... exactly what my 7 year old wanted. He wanted a Bible cover because his has a soft leather cover, and he was afraid it would get ruined if it is rainy when we go to church. He didn't want space for pen holders or journals, and specifically turned those down. Technically, you could probably fit those things if you really wanted to, but my son's Bible fits the space well, so there's not much room left over. This is well constructed and seems sturdy... the only issue is that when both cover flaps of his Bible are tucked into the cover holding spaces, the Bible doesn't open and close smoothly. I didn't take a star off because it is working just fine with only the back cover tucked in.
