Strong and stable
This works really well I am 400+ and unfortunately my bathtub is not wide enough for the other shower benches. So I gave this one a try and I was a little nervous at first but I did fine. The only thing I do is I put a little hand towel down on the seat I find if I get up and then sit back down I slide a bit, But the legs are very sturdy. They never move or slide. And it’s small enough to wear it when I don’t weigh this much I can put it in the closet. It won’t take up too much space I’m thankful for the good price and a good quality instability.

Nice seat sturdy
This has nice soft feet and strong legs. Good adjustment for height. Wide enough seat. Directions leave a little bit of guess work, like the crossbars, the one with the threaded hole goes in first and the bar without goes on tops of that. The grey finger screw goes through the top tube into the threaded tube. Also mine came with the black curved parts already on the tubes.

about the OasisSpace shower chair
This particular chair, I think, was my most ideal choice. Easy to assemble upon arrival. Very well made - lightweight aluminum construction; excellent weld seams -- it will (and is) holdup! It fits very nicely inside a standard tub. The support arms are a 'must', so KEEP THAT IN MIND if you are buying for a disabled person, especially one with respiratory issues! The arms bow outward a tad, and, believe it or not, that’s proven to be a nice feature! The arms are cushioned and, subsequently, less prone to being slick and causing grip-loss. The heighth is adjustable (and securely so) -- this is a BIG plus in itself! The seat is wide, and can reasonably comfortably accommodate a fairly wide posterior/hips. Too, the chair can be left in the tub and it’s designed to drain well – tilt it back against the shower wall until time for next use. I’ll note that my unit came with an extra set of rubber leg/feet pads, which is nice (although I don’t expect the ones I have on it now will wear out any time soon). The last thing I will comment about is price – yes, there are less expensive versions, but consider what I’ve said about the features of my unit – showering is a real task for me now, but I have to be clean and, for as long as humanly possible, I’m going to continue to take care of myself in that arena. This chair is an exceptional value for the money! Thank you OasisSpace!Sincerely,D. Wayne Osgoode

Not as heavy duty as the one we had.
I need a shower chair for my husband and the one we had was broken when he fell during a shower. This was purchased locally at Bed Bath and Beyond who are no longer around so off to Amazon I went. This was described as heavy duty and was in the measurement I needed. Upon arrival I opened everything up and laid out the pieces then read the instructions. So far so good, it went together as described. When I put it in the tub it ended up being about an inch too wide to fit completely flat on the bottom of the tub, so it is not as stable as I would like. We are using it while I try to find another replacement. Michael

Great stool
I got this when I had ankle surgery and couldn’t stand up in the shower. It’s sturdy, puts together easily, and I have been super happy with it!!

Sturdy
Doesn't buckle or fold as other ADA rated shower stools did. The cross bars are key. Plenty big enough as a seat. Easy to assemble and adjust. Fits in any tub. Good value.

Collapsed after four years useage.
My husband used this chair to sit in the shower when bathing. It was purchased in 2021. He is 93 years old. He weighs 200lbs. It was good until March 2025. The chair collapsed when he was in the shower. The breakage was at the hinge where the chair folds. He fell and I had to bring paramedics to pick him up.I just wanted to warn anyone purchasing this item to be aware. It may not be safe for long term use.

Great stool
I'm using this in my shower as I recover from foot surgery. I'm still non weight bearing for another two weeks. My daughter put it together. It's strong and has a slightly rough seat so you don't slide off. It's light enough to move around. Super useful. I'd highly recommend.
