Came in perfect condition. New in box. Everything seems to work well and the reagent was not expired. Make sure to check yours when you receive it because if the reagent is expired you will not get accurate readings. I also like to rinse the glass vial in RO water and wipe clean so there is no debris to make your readings more accurate.

If you follow the directions right this product is very accurate and extremely useful for people in the hobby. Also very easy to use a good investment. I wouldn’t get caught up on the color of the solution just follow the procedure.

seems like a good meter. If one gets a reading of .90 repeatedly, then you need to make an accurate dilution then calculate the ppm based upon that dilution.

This checker seems to work well. It could be a bit more consistent, but you are measuring tiny fractions of parts per million, so some repeatability issues are to be expected. The little powder sachets are difficult to use because it's hard to get all of the reagent into the vial. You have to be very careful about not letting any of the powder touch your skin or you will get a very high false reading. You also need to make sure that the glass on the vial is spotless for both parts of the test. I use a microfiber cloth. Make sure that you don't shake the vial too hard when mixing the reagent. Tiny bubbles in the vial will give you a false reading. The difficulty of use is why I gave it 4 stars.
