I love this tuna and salmon. I usually give this for presents during the holidays.

Makes a very nice, tasty salmon patty. So happy I decided to try. Tonnino has the best tuna and now I'm hooked on their salmon. Packaged perfectly and received quickly.

Tonnino is one of my favorite jarred/tinned fish brands out there. When I discovered they carry SALMON in their fleet, I IMMEDIATELY ordered without thinking twice (it also just so happened to be on sale thanks to Amazon Prime Day). While I am known as the Salmon Queen, I’m not a HUGE fan of wild caught salmon so I was expecting dry, bland and boring salmon… But being packed in olive oil is a turn on for me as I only buy jarred/tinned fish if it’s in olive oil. The day I got my order, I popped open a jar and devoured the whole things with a smile on my face! It’s fantastic! I highly recommend it… Even though it has a steep price tag. The olive oil helps lube up the generally less fatty wild salmon perfectly! I actually like dumping the contents of the jar into a warm skillet and heating it up.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about eating fish that comes out of a jar. It turns out ... it's good! According to the label, there are only three ingredients: silver salmon, extra virgin olive oil and salt. I don't see or taste any indication that the salmon has been smoked, as described on the product page. Anticipating this delivery, I'd pictured the type of smoked salmon called lox that is commonly put on bagels. This isn't that. However, I tried my first filet right out of the jar on a slice of pumpernickel bread with cream cheese and it was tasty. I expect this fish will be perfect on a salad, mixed with pasta, in a taco and for so many other uses. The olive oil does not cling, but it's there for those who want a more oily texture. I do love that this salmon is skinless and boneless, and six jars provides a lot of fish. I do have one concern. the jars I received did not leak, as I'd feared, at all. Reassuringly, each has a pink, sticky seal binding the lid to the glass. These, too, are intact, so I don't have any worries about tampering. But when I opened that first jar, I expected a pop from a vacuum seal. Instead, the lid opened with no resistance. Dealing with a food as perishable as fish, I have to wonder if the contents are fresh and hygienic to eat.

I bought this 2 months ago at $56, now it’s $84. I love this to get protein in a pinch but for $84?! I now have to stick to tuna. Thanks Bidenomics!
