My front and back yard was completely covered with thatch. I applied this and I am happy to say, the grass is coming back. If you are looking for a quick fix, you would have to manually remove the thatch, which is VERY difficult and hard work. This product is easy to use and does work. Depending on how thick your thatch is, more than one application may be necessary.

Excuse my review photos as they both have my daughter in it, but I wanted to show how beautiful my grass came. And this is the FIRST time I have ever did my lawn and I am quite proud. This product did exactly as it was supposed to instead of me having to physically aerate my lawn this is what I went with and the liquid aerator was perfect. It loosened the soil the grass seeds could take root easier resulting in the beautiful lawn that I now have. I followed the instructions on the label, EXACTLY as it stated!!! It does seem a little pricey, but when I compared & tried other brands, this one worked the best and did as it should. So the price didn’t bother me as much since I finally got the results I was looking for by helping my grass seed actually grow and grow better. I would definitely recommend this

This stuff really smells. Used in a gallon sprayer. Two days later you can see a little difference. The results weren’t super noticeable but I would be willing to try again. I applied at 7 in the morning on a 90 degree day and watered in. It rained about a .25” later that night. I have been watering daily in the morning for about 20 minutes since it’s been a little dry. The picture with the silver truck was taken before. The picture with the black truck was two days later.

I didn’t notice any difference in my lawn. Will not purchase again.

It might do what it's intended to do, but I will never find out. The problem with this product is that it is very thick, and the sprayer plugs up. The directions say to use low flow of water. That is good advice, because at high pressure the water doesn't mix very well and just skims over top of the product. HOWEVER, the directions also say to move fast, which doesn't work if the product isn't coming out of the sprayer at anything but a trickle. I even emptied the product into a different hose end sprayer but it didn't work any better. There has to be a better way. It's the second time I have tried this product, with the same result. I won't be trying it again. All the glowing reviews should share their technique with us. I'm a contractor and have never encountered a product that was as difficult as this one to use.

I followed the directions for application of thatch buster. Then, I waited. 2 weeks. And I saw results! Miller moths ate 2/3 of my lawn and left behind stripes that were 3' x 4" of dead grass. Thatch buster helped to break down the straw like clumps much faster than Mother Nature. Just be patient.

This is an updated review of this company. I recently purchased and used a bottle of Thatch Buster, afterwards I left a review about how the bottle did not cover my entire yard. Since then the President of Turf Titan Brands, Mr. Saal, has reached out to me personally to help resolve the issue that I had. He has informed me that they will be introducing a helpful video for their products to help consumers with the application process and other tips. Essentially for many of us homeowners we think when we are applying anything to our lawns we need to make sure its enough to soak into the ground, that is not the case with Turf Titan products. Mr. Saal assured me that when applying Thatch Buster it is only essential to spray enough to cover the blades of the grass, then when you water your lawn for the recommended 20 minutes the product will seep into the soil to begin the process. Remember that these products are biology based so time/patience will be your friend, let the product do the work. Before applying this product or any of their products, make a plan first to determine the quickest route to spray your lawn so that you conserve enough product for 100% coverage. Over-applying would not harm your lawn but there is no need to do so. I can say for certain there are not many company presidents or owners who will reach out to a consumer, but Turf Titan does indeed have such an owner, which for me goes a long ways and I can put trust into their products.
