Pleasently Suprised
The last time I used this product was years ago, and it turned my hair a yellow/brassy color. So I bought brown hair dye along with the color remover this time, expecting that I was going to cover up the yellow hair the best I could. Although this time, I followed the directions, and while I'm not sure if they changed their formula or if my hair was different but this time i had amazing results. I had deep red dye that felt like it would never come out, and it turned my hair back to this ashy blonde, removing the red, and i didn't get that yellow tone. I didn't even have to use the hair dye i bought.

FOLLOW instructions EXACTLY as they say, otherwise it may not work! Good Luck to ALL!!
This product works BEAUTIFULLY! I'm a blonde, but I color my hair a little darker for the fall/winter months. Well I picked up a dark blonde instead of medium blonde and it was AWFUL!! I found "Oops" on Amazon and thought I'd give it a try ~ and it worked!! I was SO happy, because "Oops" could've have been ANOTHER big OOPS on MY part, if it didn't work. My advice is to try this product if you messed up your hair, like I did mine!!

Did not remove color and a very time consuming process !
Did not work for me. I had brown permanent hair color over grey hair. The final result was just a lighter brown with a reddish cast. It says done in 20 minutes, but you have to rinse 20 minutes and shampoo a total of 4 times with each rinsing being 15-20 mins. It is difficult to remain in that position if you have any physical problem. I think the only option left for me is to do a heavy frosting. I will say that it doesn't appear to have damaged my hair. Do not recommend.

Damaged hair
My daughter had blonde hair with purple semi-permanent die on the bottom half. We tried this to lighten it enough to recolor, but it just turned it blue and damaged her hair. We were careful to not leave it on longer than suggested, as well as rinse for a full for 30 mins, and use the conditioner after for another 10 mins, plus leave in conditioner afterwards. It wouldn’t be a big deal if it didn’t damage her hair so much, but now we can’t do it again until it recovers. We’ve used Color Off in the past with more luck, even on difficult colors, but our local Sally’s was out. We decided to try this since it could get here next day. Definitely wasn’t worth it. Now she’s stuck with damaged blue hair for a while. To make it even worse, it smells terrible and the smell lingers forever.

Worth the effort
I had tried a Rose Quartz toner, which was too dark for my skin tone, so I waited 4 weeks then applied this color remover. It does take a while, but it was worth it.

It works!!
Worked surprisingly well!! Holey moley, I was not expecting the results I got. I've been using box color for 25 years... usually very dark brown (similar to my naturalcolor), but for the past year I was using Feria 521 Cool Amethyst.. it was fun cool deep purpley brown and I really liked it for awhile but my hair just felt like it was getting more damaged each time I used it. I decided its time to go back to an ashy brown and bought this to remove the purple. Omg... I think the Feria was lifting before depositing color because I only left the Oops on for 20 min as directed and my hair was sooo light afterwards! I was shocked.. I haven't bleached my hair in at least 3 years (only balayage) and I haven't done all-over bleach since I was a teenager. I honestly didn't think it was too bad but I wanted to fight the brass so I used a blue shampoo and purple conditioner and am giving my hair a little break. I'm actually getting so many compliments on the color it stripped down too.. maybe I'll put my brown box color to the side for awhile and sport this dark blonde color for the summer.. 1st pic - freshly dyed hair 2nd pic - faded/washed out dye 3rd pic - right after Oops 4th pic - toned down with violet/blue shampoo/conditioner and styled

Worked on some colors
Didn’t work for me on the pink dye I needed out the most. I feel like I’ve tried everything on this pink and this worked the best. It got out the brown and green though!
