Item was almost a direct replacement for the original, the arm where the release cable attaches is at a slightly different angle. It the different angle does not appear to affect the performance of the latch. The replacement latch easily mounted in the same place as the OEM latch using the same holes, because works as it is supposed to, so I gave it 5-stars. The replacement latch has only been installed a few weeks, and is not used everyday, so as far as longevity, we will see.
