Miracle of engineering with forgivable flaws
This cabinet is incredible. The amount of engineering thought that went into it is unbelievable. If they gave a Nobel Prize in sheet metal design, whoever designed this cabinet should get the award. So many impressive qualities. First of all, the thing arrives packed like a brick. Every empty cubic inch is packed with foam or structural packing. I can't imagine how it could be packed more securely. A result of the snug packing is protection. There were hardly any dents. Yes, there were some tiny dents, but the metal is so thin that it's easy to ding out any bends. I was very impressed with the packing. The metal IS very thin, thugh. And there is a LOT of square inches of it, so the cabinet weighs almost 100 lbs. If they made the metal thicker it would 200-300 lbs and have to arrive freight. And cost more. If you just want a cabinet, and you aren't worried about somebody trying to break into it, this thing is plenty strong. It's reinforced in all the right places. I have hundreds of pounds of gear in it and it doesn't look even slightly strained. But it's not a security cabinet. The lock would only keep honest people out, and small, unmotivated kids. If you want something that could withstand more than 10 seconds of serious break-in attack, get something beefier. It's only a 2-point lock. if you pull on the door hard, it bows out so you can reach in and pull down the lock rods. No tools needed to break in. That said, it wouldn't be hard to add a bar to the back of the key lock and make it into a 3-point system. I kinda don't understand why they didn't do that, actually. Would have make it slightly more secure. But if you don't care about security, then this is an excellent cabinet. It went together flawlessly. They give extras of every fastener. It has adjustable feet that can be adjusted from above -- very clever. Parts were all very accurately fabricated. Everything lined up. Screws went in easily. Took about 2 hours to assemble, taking my time. The shelves seem pretty strong. I didn't like that the shelves have a 1/2 inch gap along the back. Keep that in mind if you put small parts on the shelves that could roll off the back of a shelf. A forgivable flaw. Lots of other cabinets also have this gap. In summary, this is an AWESOME cabinet.

Deflated Excitement
I purchased these cabinets in hopes of finally tackling our garage organization. Regrettably, the item arrived egregiously warped/damaged. While putting it together I noticed two small dings that appeared to be more cosmetic than anything. Seeing as this cabinet was going to live in the garage, a small cosmetic flaw wasn’t a huge issue… or so I thought. The cabinet isn’t difficult to put together but once I did, that’s when I noticed there was a bigger problem. The sides are so warped, you can see right into the cabinet on both sides and only 1 of 5 shelves stays up. The packaging used to ship this could use some serious improvement! Moreover, they ship via FedEx which is one of the most awful shipping companies when it comes to handling merchandise. They destroy or damage almost anything they touch. All in all, I rated this as 3 stars because it is a sleek cabinet that would be great if it could actually be used. Now I’m stuck with a huge cabinet that I have to take apart and recycle because I can’t do anything with it and I have no idea how to ship it back! I’m also out of the money I spent on this. Just an awful experience.

Wow!
Wow. Just wow. I loved this cabinet so much that I'm buying a second one for my daughter's room to store all of her Barbie paraphernalia. Even though the box arrived all dinged up, the interior packaging was so amazing well thought out that there was only the smallest of small dents in one spot. Absolutely amazing. It was pretty straightforward to put together, but it did take me several hours. It probably would've taken less if I wasn't getting distracted every 20 minutes. It was easy to get into place where I wanted it, and easy to secure to the wall. I actually put a board up behind it that I screwed into the studs because I needed to clear the lower baseboard, but it looked like the holes were spaced about right for catching a pair of studs. The shelves slot into place easily as well. I did have some problem with the doors. I'm not sure what the issue was because I checked and adjusted the feet to make sure everything was level front to back and left to right. For whatever reason, the doors don't want to stick to the magnets. I solved this by locking the cabinet, which keeps it closed just fine. The appearance is nice and sleek, and the space inside is quite generous. There's not a lot of wasted space or anything. Our laundry room went from looking a cluttered mess to looking far less like a disaster zone.
