Good replacement, aloud louder than the fans i replaced but the ones replaced were failing so could be that.

I have purchased these fans to cool off my fiber optic modem which was running quite hot. I selected this size to fit my 40x40 mm aluminum heat sinks. The goal was to cool it down below 40.0C (104F). I'm running all four fans at about 70% speed per manual external power controller. This keeps the device's external hot spot at 37.1C (98.8F). Before I used any fans, the heat sinks alone did not do much, although they did get quite hot too. I needed fans. Either way, at the time, the device was hitting above 47C (116.6F). The fans move enough air for a small size and my application. My room ambient temperature at the time of measurements was 23.5C (74.3 F). They are definitely audible at 70% speed. My room ambient noise floor average was ~26.4 dB at the time of measurement. 4 fans on at 0 distance blend in with the background noise ~10% speed 4 fans on at 0 distance average about ~40.1 dB ~70% speed 4 fans on at 0 distance average about 44.8 dB ~100% speed The time will tell how long these will last as all four are on and running 24/7 since the day of the purchase.

Great low noise fans. They don't push a lot of air but they are nice and quiet. No issues!

These units are very small but they work good. They move a good amount of air. They are however a little loud but for the amount of air they move, it is worth it.

These fans work as expected, noise is tolerable. I use these fans to replace the OEM fans in a Dell PowerConnect 5324 as they were very loud and had bad bearings. With all four fans running that’s when they become tolerably loud. I’m not sure if this product is designed to run 24/7 365 days a year, but that’s what they will do now. As a sidenote I haven’t actually measured the fan itself but it claims to be 40 X 40 X 10, well that’s the same measurement in the dell poweconnect 5324 according to Dells website, but the fans did not fit correct, which required me to only use one hole rather than two (which really shouldn’t be a problem), like I said I didn’t measure it so I don’t know if this is just my issue with my Dell powerconnect case, or if the fan is incorrectly measured.

It's a blessing to finally not to hear the fan noise. Having 3 spares gives me peace of mind that next replacement will be quick and instant. Fan works good, and is holding up quite well. Those little fans usually have short life span, so wonder how long this one will last. On a device that runs 24/7 frequent replacements are unavoidable. You can't beat the price of this set.

Does it work Kind of...Cheap and the Correct size. But nothing real special and I get these aren't High CFM air movers but even at 12V they still barley have any air moving force.
