Ice helps with swelling after being up walking and doing rehab. It was hard to find an ice pack to fit on that part of your foot while being able to elevate, especially if I am at work and just using a foot stool. The ice pack wraps nicely around my foot & secures. Best of all it isn't super heavy that I feel uncomfortable having my foot moving around a bit.
