Will this protect your garage floor from battery acid drips?

The New Pig Oil and Leak Drip Pan (PM50096) are made of LDPE and are compatible with Battery Acid. This tray can protect your garage floor from Battery acid drips. Battery Acid is ~ 47% sulfuric Acid and our drip tray has been tested with sulfuric acid at 98% and received a 'S' rating (Short-term storage): Moderate degradation to material. Should any battery acid spill into the tray, it should be cleaned up immediately and the tray triple rinsed to insure the tray is free of residue which can continue to degrade the tray. Wondering if this would work in an aquaponics system - ie are there any chemicals the the tray that would leech into water if kept filled?

Cyndie, the Pig Home Solutions Oil Drain Drip Pan (PM50096) is made of polyethylene. Polyethylene is one of the safer plastics, however these trays are molded and use a mold release agent which may be an issue for aquaponics systems. This can be used as an oil drip pan, to capture leaks and drips or for use under plants to capture over-watering. What is the height of the ridges inside the pan? (Can't tell by photos and would want minimal rise)

What are the interior dimensions at the bottom? For my purpose it must measure a full 25 inches wide inside at the bottom.
