They are fully made of metal, so they hold hair tightly. They are also heavier than a plastic clip, which may be a problem for some people. I had no problem securing my shoulder length medium thick hair without having to readjust the clip all day long. These clips have a cute design to them, and will go with about any outfit. I think these are a great value since you get 3 clips at the reasonable current price of $7.19. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but *by A***R on September 23, 2024* These clips are ok, not the greatest, but I do have very thick hair. They seem to be plated with some type of metallic looking (fake looking) coating; not sure that will last very long. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cute metal claw clips *by T***A on July 5, 2024* I ordered these metal clips tentatively since I've ordered metal clips in the past (enameled ones) that were quite heavy - too heavy for my hair. This set however is much lighter, probably because they don't also have the extra weight of an enameled design. They hold well in my hair with 4 full teeth per side of the clip (there are also sort of half-teeth that are part of the conch design, which helps as well).I can see the conch shape since I know what I ordered, but I think these also read like coral, all ocean-themed anyway. Finishes are nice, clips are sturdy, the teeth are a little scratchier than plastic ones just by virtue of being metal and lacking the give and softness of plastic.Do take a good look at these before using, the dark gunmetal-metallic clip had a loose wire in it which I did not notice until I took the clip out of my hair and the wire stayed in my hair. Seems to have been a fluke, perhaps missed post-plating.
