These are perfectly usable bags. They are just *extremely* thin, transparent plastic. (Think of a clear dry-cleaning bag, then imagine it half as thick.) I put up a picture of the bag lying over its box so you can see how incredibly thin they are. Perfectly fine for dust and gum and light paper trash, just beware: they’re not for heavy-duty use. They are also not 1.6 gallons, more like 1.3 gallons — so they may not touch the bottom of your 1.6 gallon trash can, making them likely to slip down inside and create an icky mess. I was looking for a more economical alternative, and these are very cheap. But next time I’m going back to my brand-name trash can liners.

I bought these for a brand new 1.6 gallon trash bin I bought for my bathroom (also from Amazon, same purchase). The can itself came with a few liners of its own that DIDN’T even fit so I was glad I had already purchased these separately not knowing that and those fit PERFECTLY with enough room to still be able to tuck down over the rim between the liner and the outside can.
