Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible, Brown Cowhide Leather

One of the nicest Bibles I've owned.
Over the years I have developed a bit of a Bible collection. The Charles Ryrie Study Bible (ESV) is one of the best. The calfskin leather is incredibly smooth and flexible (though I don't know how durable it is). The font is nice and large and the red-lettering is a nice perk. The thumb tabs are incredibly helpful, although this is my first bible that has those so at first they threw me off. The notes are awesome and there is a collection of full color maps in the back of the bible (along with an extensive concordance). My bible did not come with the activation code for the extra "$400" value software; though if you read the small print that is actually only for a one month trial version, so I wasn't overly upset about it. I also didn't like that there was only one ribbon (that's more of a personal thing, however). I was able to pick this bible up for a reasonable price (it was on sale), and despite the many perks of this bible, I wouldn't pay the full $220. If the price is a problem for you then I suggest forfeiting the calfskin leather and getting one of the cheaper versions because the study notes within the bible are pretty great.

A good purchase
Well presented and good quality bible to complement other bibles. The additional information enlightens the reader and allows for contemplation and the work of The Holy Spirit. A good purchase.

Green Ryrie NASB Study Bible
I really love this Bible. Its a fantastic resource with great study notes and comes with the Moody Library on DVD ROM. I also enjoy the green color with gold page trim. Makes it unique among other so similar looking Bible's. Also, the company that shipped it to me got it here very quickly. It's very easy to get caught up in study topics with all the references. Sometimes I find myself delving through Scripture with my curiousity for what comes next keeping me turning the pages. I love that!EDIT* One thing I have found frustrating about this Study Bible is that many of the times I find something difficult to discern in the scriptures (especially in like, Ezekiel) there are no explanations in the study section. This is NOT a verse by verse study Bible. Sometimes it seems like Ryrie just took the easy way out.

Nice Bible with lots of interesting and helpful extras
The Ryrie NASB Study Bible is nicely formatted, easy to read, and filled with cross-references and other helpful information. I especially like the outlines and maps. The outline of the Gospel events during the week leading up to Jesus' crucifixion was very helpful and clear. Although the study notes are usually not as complete as the notes in my other NASB study bible, they are still very useful and make a nice complement. The free DVD looks to be loaded with some good software. I haven't tried it yet, since I can get a lot of the information on the internet. If I had limited internet access, the DVD software would be extremely helpful.

Calfskin okay, binding sewn.
Got this for ~75$. Great deal. Calfskin is on the very low scale but, still its calfskin. Moody Press has been disappointing for me in the past with Ryrie study Bibles. This one is clearly sewn in the binding and the construction is just fine. Just a side note, This was remainder marked on the gilting (shiny pages). A remainder mark is simply a permanent marker run line drawn on the bottom over the pages given by book dealers on works that are over stocked or something. Either way, it was much cheaper than Amazon's stock and was still new.
