Bought this after reading "The Big One" in the New Yorker as well as the subsequent follow up articles. I didn't want to be one of those people who buried their head in the sand and live in denial of a big earthquake ever hitting the Northwest. This seemed like a good 72 hour food and water package to store in the car for our family. I love that its a 5 year shelf life and couldn't believe how reasonably priced this is. Great deal! Now I'm feeling a little bit more prepared and hoping I never have to use it!

Great product if you find yourself in an extreme situation. Fits in a back pack, and they taste good. Shipped way faster than Amazon predicted.

Have not eaten anything in the kit yet, but nice to have on the shelf in case the need arises.

I bought these several years ago for my emergency kit and of course tried a couple of the bars right away. Guess it's the changing times or maybe they get better with age but recently I checked the dates and found that I was at to the 4 year mark and tried a couple of bars again and noticed they were much better than I thought. I will be ordering more and not just for storage but to keep in my purse for snack time or when I get stuck waiting somewhere that I need food and can't get it (Dr's office, etc). I have had these stored in my home, but I live on the desert in Arizona, so even inside the house gets pretty hot at times and after 4 years they are in great condition, and like I said before, better than remembered.. Great product.
