First opening they looked really thin and was rough. After washing they fluffed up and turned soft. I Will be buying more.

I do like these towels, but they are not the best. They have this look like they’ve lived in your house for the past 40 years, even though they are brand new. And I’ve got a few that are already fraying. I did two initial washes as recommended by others to get the lint out. My lint basket in my dryer had enough fluff to stuff a toy, and then they still left lint on me after showering. What I DO LIKE is that they effectively dry you off, and they themselves dry really quick. So far no stinky towels which was a struggle with thicker more expensive towels I’d purchased in the past.

I got two sets of these towels in Blue Irish and Fuschia. As soon as they arrived, I washed them in two separate loads, along with other laundry - used cold setting, which isn’t really all that cold in this part of the country, it’s almost warm. Anyway, the colors did not seem to bleed onto my other laundry, despite how absolutely vibrant they are. Dried them with wool dryer balls and when they came out, they felt incredibly soft and plush. These are not thin towels - maybe some reviewers here were judging them right out of the package before washing? Or maybe we have different ideas about what quality feels like. I’m Autistic and it’s hard to find towels that don’t bother me in some way - whether they’re too scratchy, too heavy, too stiff, too flimsy, not absorbent enough. These ones are soft, perfect thickness and heft, but they are linty. The lint trap in my dryer had a thick carpet of very colorful lint after drying these. They also leave a bit of lint on my skin when drying myself off. I’m hoping there will be less lint shedding after each laundering. It’s not a big enough problem for me that I still don’t love these towels.

These towels are a great color but very thin and medium quality. Was looking for thicker fluffy towels. I am using them but just letting you know. Thank you.

I really liked these towels until I used them. I liked the color. I liked the softness. I liked that they didn't fall apart the first time I washed them (as has happened with another brand), and I like the size and weight. All of that goes out the window when you try to dry off with one of these things, and all it does is smear the water across your skin. They were washed and dried without fabric softener so there's no reason these shouldn't be absorbent, but they are not. Total waste of money, unfortunately.

Turned out beautifully after I followed these steps: 1. Unwrap and wash a light load in one cup white vinegar, no detergent no softener. (about half, I bought the 24 pack plus 4 regular towels) 2. Wash them a second time without detergent and with 1/2 cup baking soda. (I dissolved them soda in water at the bottom of the washer before starting.) 3. Dry on medium heat, cleaning the lint trap every ten minutes. I hope this helps you.
