Instructions Would Have Been Nice; Doesn't Last Long Enough (Updated 2018/06/29)
Unfortunately, this is the second time I have had to buy this part for my dishwasher. The first time I bought it from a different detail page, Whirlpool W10350376 Rack Adjuster , but it was the same part. I have based this review on a similar one I posted there. The good: The item is exactly what it says, replacing the original part perfectly. (My dishwasher is the Kenmore Elite model 12769; I cannot vouch for other models.) Unfortunately, it does not come with instructions for how to remove the original part and install the new one. Instructions would have been nice, as it is not completely obvious how to get it off. The good news is that there are two of these installed on the top rack, so you can use the one you are not replacing as a model for how to put things back together. To be fair, the assembly is not particularly complex. I am fairly mechanically inclined, and I was able to figure it out and complete the replacement within about 15 minutes without resorting to searching for on-line help. That being said, there were a couple of steps that were not completely obvious, including a couple that required a screwdriver. If you are not mechanically inclined, you should definitely try to find an on-line video before venturing to fix it yourself.Unfortunately, this item is under engineered for the conditions it faces inside of a dishwasher. The original part that came with my dishwasher lasted about two years. The first replacements lasted about two and a half. So, five stars for being the OEM part as advertised, but one star for being a piece of junk. Three stars seems fair.Update February, 2018: Unfortunately, I am an expert at replacing these now. I had to buy these again after just over a year this time. They failed just as they did before. The axels that hold the white wheels on broke again. Apparently, they cannot tolerate all of the hot water inside the dishwasher. None of that really changes my review. It is still the OEM part. It is still a piece of junk. Next time, I will try one of the non-OEM parts like this one: Non OEM Dishwasher Rack Adjuster Kit W10712394SAP Replaces W10712394 For Whirlpool . It is hard to imagine it performing worse.Update June, 2018: Taking away another star. The most recent pair lasted just six months. They just broke again, the exact same way. I will not buy these again. I am now trying this non-OEM option ERW10712394 For W10712394 Whirlpool Dishwasher Rack Adjuster Kit . It came yesterday, and I have successfully installed it. I obviously do not yet know how long these will last, but I can verify that they fit the top rack of my Kenmore Elite model 12769 dishwasher. For what it is worth, they appear to be better constructed.

If you have a different option, try it first. These will disappoint you.
Product is garbage. The original product lasted 3 (?) years. I was disappointed (disgusted, actually) that the original failed so quickly. While waiting for this replacement to arrive I attempted a repair on the original (high temp GE silicone sealer), which lasted about 6 weeks. When that gave out I installed this replacement part. These lasted 4 months and failed in the same way the OEM part failed (the rack simply fell off of the wheels when I was pulling the rack out to unload it). Total cheap garbage. There might not be another purchase option, but if you find one, try it before purchasing these. I'll try the silicone sealer repair again because that's quick, easy and less expensive than buying this piece of stupidly designed hardware. There might not be another option, but if there is, try it first. Even without knowing what that might be, it couldn't be worse than this option.

DO NOT BUY
Update 10.06.18:These are junk and they only get one star because I'm not allowed to give them zero. They lasted less than 4 months. One of the rollers on the front, right side kept popping off (see original review below) and we've been carefully working with it since. Last night the entire roller holder on the front, left side broke off and if I'd not been holding the rack it likely would have fallen and dumped all the contents. Upon removing the rack, I found that the retaining clips for the front right roller (see accompanying pictures) were also broken off. Buy these at your own risk. As far as I'm concerned this was money wasted and lesson learned. Looks like I'll be looking for genuine KitchenAid parts.Original review:Originally I was going to give this 3-4 stars for the lack of instructions. Since the initial install I've encountered a new problem (see below) that earns this a 2-star rating.First of all, some instructions or a link to instructions would have been helpful. I basically used trial and error to get through removing and re-installing.I've had these installed for several month now and in the last week one of the wheels keeps coming loose from the rack and nearly dumping the contents. It's making me nervous the entire rack may come off and break all the dishes.

Cheap Replacement part.
This is the second time we have had to buy these replacement racks. This time it made it 1 month. Previously it made it 6 months. Cheap product. We are a two adult household with limited dirty dishes and this part cannot keep from breaking. Cheap...Cheap...Cheap. Unsatisfied. Having to look elsewhere now.UPDATE~ Company was very receptive to replacing the part and they did promptly. They were very courteous in their email and I will now see if the new part will hold up. As I promised in my email to them, I will change my rating. If for any reason the part fails within the next two months I will update you all again.

Update: broke within 6 months.//very easy to install and do my own repair with these.
UDATE: Sept 23/18. They broke this past week. Both of them. I had installed them end of May 2018. We run the dishwasher about every third day, normal family use.The previous were original to the machine and had lasted many years. DISAPPOINTING!!! Says quality guranteed but I can find no way to exercise the guarantee. From May 2018: These arrived promptly, were very easy for me to install, roll smoothly without wobbles or snags and seem good quality so far - been using for 3 months so far. I hadn't realized I could height adjust my upper rack until I changed the old out for these! added bonus! Save a great deal of $$ doing my own repair rather than having to call out a company. I would buy again (but hope I don't have to!).Recommend to take the whole upper rack out, place upside down on the towel you have used to cover and protect your counter. and, of course, watch someone's Youtube vdo of their DYI.
