Will this really keep pigeons, woodpeckers, and crows away?

It can definitely help. The spinning movement and shiny reflect light in a way that makes birds uncomfortable, so they’re less likely to land, nest, or peck around the area.

Where should I place it for the best results?

Place it near where birds land, nest, or peck, like balconies, railings, roofs, eaves, gardens, wood siding, or chimney caps. For best performance, install it where it gets sunlight and can spin freely in the wind.

I’m worried that strong wind will blow the blades away. What should I do, and what if I lose a blade?

A good breeze actually makes the spinner turn faster and flash more actively, which is beneficial. If you live in an area with extremely gusty wind, you can add a tiny drop of outdoor glue to the connection point where the blade meets the hub.

I plan to use it on my boat (or a seaside balcony). Any installation tips?

Installing it on a boat or a coastal balcony works just fine; the key is securing it well. Place the base on a stable, sunny surface. Reinforce with outdoor double-sided tape or zip ties if needed.
