I recently installed it in our home, knowing that having our AED readily available could make all the difference in an emergency. What I appreciate most about this cabinet is its universal design, ensuring compatibility with various AED models, including Cardiac Science, Zoll, and Physio-Control. It gives me peace of mind knowing that regardless of the AED we have, it will fit securely and be easily accessible when needed most. The clear acrylic door not only adds a touch of sleekness but also allows for instant visibility of the AED. This means that in a high-pressure situation, anyone can quickly locate the AED without hesitation, potentially saving precious seconds when every moment counts. Installing this was a simple yet significant step in ensuring the safety and well-being of my family and loved ones. It's a reminder that preparedness can make all the difference in an emergency, and having the right equipment stored properly is key to being ready to respond effectively.

This cabinet lacks a handle which I installed after fastening it to the wall. The existing latch works when gravity allows the latch to fall into the open position...except when the AED inside presses against the front and doesn't fall into the open position. The latch mechanism should have a means of mechanically opening the latch instead of relying on gravity. This is a very dangerous situation which delays access to the AED when seconds might count. At least with a handle, the door can be worked to let the latch fall into the open position.
