The item was purchased to use along with a chair that can lift a person up from the floor in a sitting position... I would say that I could try to put some furniture moving disks on the side that faces the floor and then try moving my father if he was sitting up on the floor. I also did not have much success moving my mother by trying to shove this under her while she was sitting in bed.
