The Unofficial Guide books are essential reading for those planning a vacay in Orlando. You get tons of money- and time-saving tips for the price of a paperback book. Included are maps and Touring Plans tailored to your needs (eg seniors, adults, tweens, parents w/ small children all have different Touring Plans). I tried a Touring Plan at Epcot...we (4 adults) finished all major attractions by 1pm, which left the rest of the day open for spontaneous exploration. That's the tradeoff for saving time; some folks don't care for following a plan, preferring to wing it. Winging it will waste the precious time you've paid so much to enjoy. I'm currently using the Unofficial Guide for a trip to Universal. The book includes park maps and detailed descriptions of rides, shows, eateries, accomodations, parking, and tips to enhance your stay.

Great book for learning about universal theme park. Gives detailed info about the all the parks and places to stay. Also tells you which things can be skipped. This is a big book, lots of reading....but it is helping me with all the new processes at the parks...for example, the park pass system. Great book to prepare for your trip.

Lots of good information but it would be better if it had pictures and advice.

Excellent as always, used a similar book for Disney with my kids. Loved the day plan for Seniors as this was perfect for my wife and I. We rode all we wanted and saw all the shows we wanted. Perfect plan and excellent advice for touring the park. A must have for any Universal park.

We had never been there before so I bought this book. There is a ton of detail. So much so that I found it overwhelming. Most useful part for us were suggestions for top rides at each park. Internet and travel agent were helpful.

Very informative regarding Universal theme parks. Good tips and suggestions to help you enjoy the parks while avoiding some of the time wasters.
