Solid construction with a decent price point
Drove around 500miles in rain with some heavy downpours. No rain got into the bag and it performed well. Very large topper with decent built in tie downs . My only concern is the clasps are a little whimpy so I just added 2 rachet straps I had laying around. I also had the zipper towards the back of the car to cut down on the velcro overlap flapping. I would recommend this product!

Held up well on its first trip
This is a well made cargo bag that holds a lot of gear. The material is very rugged and durable, and the zipper is high quality. Installation is easy, and it worked very well for its first 4 day trip.I used it on top of a Subaru Ascent that has a long sunroof, and factory roof rails with Thule crossbars. I didn’t want to place the bag directly on the glass, so I ordered a cheap second pair of crossbars to support its large size and eliminate sag in the middle. The only improvement I’d love to see in this bag, is a bottom insert to give it some rigidity. I had to position the crossbars and pack it strategically to keep the bag off of the roof. I realize it’s a soft bag, and that a solid bottom insert would make storage a real pain when not in use. However, I think a foldable insert could eliminate that problem and make using this cargo bag with roof racks a lot easier.Regardless, this bag seems very well made and it held up really well through 2 states and back. I expect it to hold up for many years to come. It’s a great value for the money spent.

Huge, strong, and great!
This is so solid! Definitely water proof! This bag is huge. It was amazing what I got in it! (Full disclosure, car was overloaded and very top heavy) great quality id buy it again in a blink of my eye

Worked great! Solid purchase.
Looked and performed great; we had it on a cargo basket but I would've trusted it on a bare roof as well. Overall construction, straps, and zipper are respectable quality.

Wish I could give it 0 stars!
I bought this for a trip to Mexico Beach, FL from Henderson, KY. Got the rooftop carrier loaded up with all straps very secure and tight. Got a total of 11 miles away and had to pull over for the first time to re-secure the first broken strap. Actually the strap anchor stitching came apart. We had to stop 3 more times on the way down to re-secure additional broken straps. We eventually had to buy ratchet straps to secure it because so many straps/buckles failed

Doesn’t fit all cars
Quality was impressive. However it did not for our Buick enclave. Our door weather stripping does not peel away from the car.

Zipper broke on first use, but was usable
The bag material feels thick and durable, but one of the zippers came off track and the straps were a pain to adjust. It held up on our trip so far, but no rain just yet. Zipper was left broken, I just zip tied it to the working zipper since I didnt trust the tiny lock they provided.I would recommend getting ratchet straps or some heavy gauge bungee cords to make your life easier. Oh, and be nice to the zippers I guess

Reese Cargo Carrier delivers!
The Reese Cargo Carrier delivered on everything it is described to accomplish. I used mine on a vehicle without a roof rack. It was filled with 227 lbs of luggage and the trip was 2385 miles round trip. The Reese Cargo Carrier was exposed to 5+ hours of solid rain while driving at interstate highway speeds. When checked for dampness inside the carrier, not a drop of moisture. The seams in the front of the cargo carrier were bone dry. Very impressive. The cargo carrier stayed put on the vehicle roof even though there is no roof rack. If you are needing extra space for your cargo, the Reese Waterproof Cargo Carrier is up to the challenge. Highly recommend.
