I wanted to frame out an unframed bathroom mirror without dealing with messy mortar, wood trim, or a miter saw. It genuinely mimics the look of solid stainless steel framing once applied. WHY IT WORKS: • The metallic finish is highly reflective and completely changes the aesthetic of a flat wall or mirror edge in minutes. • The foam adhesive backing is incredibly aggressive. Once you press this onto a flat, clean surface, it forms a permanent bond that will not peel up in a humid environment. INSTALLATION WARNING: • Because this is essentially a roll of real metal foil, the edges become microscopically sharp when you cut it to length with tin snips. If you try to press it down firmly with your bare hands, you will easily get a severe metal paper-cut. You must wear thick leather gloves and use a hard plastic squeegee to press it flush against the wall. THE BOTTOM LINE: A brilliant, high-adhesion metal trim for quick framing projects, as long as you protect your hands from the razor-sharp cut edges.

I really had no idea what to expect as I ordered this to use for inner picture frames where my print was too small but it worked pretty good. It appears to be a nice color - brushed gold. I have a lot of the brushed gold delta hardware around my house and if using for trim it matches perfect. It was a little hard to use for what I ordered it for but that’s my fault as it’s not intended for that. I did have to cut with metal clippers and I’m not good at mitering so it was tough. But if you had the right tools I’m sure this would be wonderful. I may experiment on furniture. It seems to stick great in my opinion but I haven’t stuck it to cabinets or furniture so I can’t comment on that. It appears to be heavy duty sticky but might depend on the shoe of surface. I think it’s a great product for a really good price to add appeal.

Looks great, super realistic. it's not super durable and the adhesiveness isn't super strong. I've already experienced end pieces rising up even without walking on the floor yet. I think there's improvements to be made but the installation was easy. Just be careful and use gloves like they said because the edges slice like glass.

Very strong metal, a bit hard to cut but sturdy. Hard to bend also (can be a positive or negative). Has a top clear plastic layer that I noticed when I hit it with a heat gun. Used this as tile trim. So far it’s sticking well Good color accurate to images.

I wish I could give this stuff zero stars. It was shipped in a plain plastic bag, so it arrived, bent and twisted in several directions. I attempted to straighten out and use it, but it’s so thin and narrow that it’s almost impossible to cut with tinsnips. If you don’t get the exact right angle, it just bends and mangles the material. When I finally managed to get a strip applied, the ends kept popping off, and the corners were sticking out because the adhesive isn’t full width. I pulled the protective tape off the top and you could see every tiny bend from the shipping damage.

This stuff is exactly what I was looking for. I cut it to fit a contemporary white gold shelf I made. It is perfect for long term trim applications. As to the reviewers saying it is sharp and hard to cut...duh. It is actually stainless steel with a really well done anodized like finish. I also couldn't cut it with my lesser metal saw. I ended up using a diamond saw to cut it, but my tungsten carbide would have worked too. That is a good thing people! The tape sticks well if prepped and flat. That said if you curve edges like I did, I recommend a fast setting epoxy and definitely sand or debur or you'll cut through your cut resistant gloves like I did. This stuff will last forever, is smooth, consistent in appearance, and has a brushed gold like Id expect on an antique furniture item. Easy cutting idea? Mark it, bend it bend it back, abraid the seam with your cutting tool, wiggle back and forth until it separates then sand or grind it.

When it works, it’s aesthetically appealing and adheres to its base nicely resulting in a beautiful touch of flair. The caveat is that, as others have noted, it can be somewhat dangerous to maneuver (the first time I used this product - purchased twice now - I had cuts ALL over my hands). But for me the worst aspect of this product is the transparent film that covers the non-adhesive side. For the love of god how does it come off so easily at times, yet other times it NEVER budges (literally still have film on the majority of pieces used). If anyone has any tips on how to get it off easily. I’m all ears. I’ve sacrificed many fingernails trying to peel it off.
