Review: Great drum for the price - This is a great student drum for the price. My son is 12 and he’s been using this drum for school band. It’s holding up nicely and travels well.
Review: It’s ok - Washers on the inside of the shell are rusted. Packaging was brand new, sealed plastic. So how does rust happen? Sound is ok. My kid takes band at school and can’t tune it to sound less echoey like his classroom drum. But the included mute pad makes it sound just right lol, but at -95db. A set of dampening rings might do the trick. Like other neutral negative reviewers say: spend a little more on a better brand. Get a recommendation from your kids band teacher. Those are good tips. I feel I got a good deal on this purchase with everything that was included. The rust, despite being in sealed package really irritates me, but it’s a starter drum that I expect my kid will replace should their skill go up another level.

This is a great student drum for the price. My son is 12 and he’s been using this drum for school band. It’s holding up nicely and travels well.

Washers on the inside of the shell are rusted. Packaging was brand new, sealed plastic. So how does rust happen? Sound is ok. My kid takes band at school and can’t tune it to sound less echoey like his classroom drum. But the included mute pad makes it sound just right lol, but at -95db.
