Great option for my senior dog with a chicken allergy
My senior dog, Julieta, is allergic to chicken (skin allergy), and I have tried other joint supplements containing UC-II that unfortunately triggered her allergies. This is the first one weโve tried that contains UC-II and has caused absolutely no allergic reaction. For context at the beginning of the year she got sick and lost a lot of weight and muscle mass, thats why i kept trying new options. I started giving her Fera Collagen Plus about three weeks ago, along with a consistent rehabilitation and exercise routine, and we have already noticed a significant improvement in her muscle mass. At her most recent therapy session, her vet was impressed by the difference. The bony area around her hip used to be very prominent because of the muscle she had lost, and now it is noticeably better covered. I really believe this product itโs helping her.

Awesome product, awesome results.
At a younger age, our dog's sleek black coat almost glowed, especially in the sun. As she aged, her coat became more dandruffy and dull. I assumed changes in formulas to the supplements or foods she was on were to blame, so we swapped brands and played with various oils and potions to help with coat quality without much change - still dull. She was in great health otherwise. Just didn't have the same stunning coat she used to have. At our most recent vet, it was suggested that maybe we try collagen for our dog. Not for her coat, but to support a progressive mild tendon issue my dog has been diagnosed with. I did a lot of research and decided on Fera brand 5 Type Collagen, mostly because it was one of the most comprehensive brands to also contain named UC-II collagen, which does have studies done and has been shown to be effective at it's job. It's overall somewhat spendy for what you get, especially for the amount a large breed dog needs. But with named UC-II in it, I was willing to pay a bit more for something with research to it. Our large breed dog has been on it for over a month now. She loves the taste when mixed in with her wet food. That said, she'd not a picky dog and would've probably eaten it just straight out of the bag. She's had no digestive issues while on it, either. More astounding though is we are back to a soft, shiny, dander-free coat that we had years ago. Shedding has dropped as well. I can't tell you how effective it is for mobility, as our dog is currently more in the prevention phase than treating-a-problem phase. But if it's working for her joints as well as it's working for her coat, I am happy to keep her on it! Great product!

Great product with quality ingredients and my dog enjoyed it
Giving this a 5-star rating because it is a high quality product and my dog did enjoy the taste of it. She is a 16-year-old Shih Tzu that Iโm trying to give more collagen to to get ahead of any joint issues (sheโs doing great so far and hasnโt slowed down and I want to keep it that way). A year ago I tried homemade bone broth that unfortunately gave her diarrhea no matter how slowly I introduced her to it. I put her on a probiotic and gave her tummy a break and then started researching different supplements to give her for collagen. I selected this one because itโs a powder and not a chew pill. Powders are easier to control so it would make dosing easier to manage to hopefully avoid tummy problems. It arrived on time and I gave her the recommended dose on the package (my mistake, I didnโt think to start small). For 2 weeks we were good and then she had diarrhea so I had to stop giving it to her. After a couple of days of being back to normal, I tried giving her a small amount to build back up and she had the diarrhea again. So we are taking another break. I believe in this product and want to feed it to her because it is made of quality ingredients with the best collagen - this is the only product on the market for pets I could find with the type of pure collagen thatโs been proven to make a different for dogs. Unfortunately my girl has a sensitive tummy (Shih Tzus as a whole are very sensitive to protein) but if you have a different breed or if your Shih Tzu isnโt as sensitive as my girl, you should absolutely give this product a try. She reacts this way to proteins so this is confirmation this product is quality, real collagen and not a washed-out variety. She wasnโt on it long enough for me to rate the effectiveness, but if I can get ahead of her sensitivity I know she will be able to have this for the long term. I recommend this collagen and if youโre considering it, you should give it a try!

Great supplement for my large breed senior dog
Great product for the senior dog. While I wished I had it to give him when he was younger, it has helped him in his senior yrs. He has been on it for over a year now and I think it helped more than the glucosamine type products that he had a few yrs back. Those didn't seem to help at all.

Husky says not to my liking
My dogs are picky and we're not a fan. Had to mix with bone broth to get them to eat it.

Appears to help my Corgis
I can't really tell if it's helping. Both of my dogs do seem to be licking their paws less although, it didn't stop it completely. I'm going to keep them on it for a while and see how it does. It's a much cheaper alternative to Aproquil.

Good for picky cats
Seems to be pretty tasteless, so my cats don't mind the addition to their wet food. Only time will tell if it offers any real joint support. The powder is very fine and there was no scoop included, but I have no complaints.

Good product
Good product. Cat doesnโt mind it mixed in her wet food. Cat is 10 years old and I noticed she wasnโt jumping up into her favourite places anymore. Seems to help with her hip pain and her coat is so nice now. Sleek and shiny. No more dandruff. Give her 1/4 teaspoon a day in her wet food for a 10 lb cat. 1/2 tsp was too much and made her sick

Fera meets the requirements for collagen supplementation
Collagen supplementation is known to decrease joint discomfort in both humans and animals. My research pointed me to which forms of collagen were required for dogs and Fera Collagen was a perfect match. Our 13 yr old large breed dog has been on Librela shots since June 2025. We began adding Fera collagen to her daily routine a couple months later and are pleased to say that she is still holding her own even though osteoarthritis is typically progressive. I suspect that this supplementation is contributing to her well-being over and above just the Librela and Cosequin.

Definitely helps bulldog skin issues!
My dog is an AB has serious skin issues and this helped so much. Weโve been able to cut back on her Apoquel. She hates it, but will eat it as usual now. We started with a small amount and gradually increased to the recommended dose. It took a few weeks to kick in but definitely made a big difference.
