My grandson is 11 years old. I thought these books would be too mature for him, but his parents said they’re fine and he’s enjoying them.

I love the price of this set, it is a great deal for four books. I wish that it also came with “Sunrise on The Reaping”. My only complaint is the box that holds the books is very cheap and is a folded piece of thin cardboard. Easily unfolds and comes undone. Regardless, still a great deal. Each book costing about $8.35 each when you buy this set.

I was so excited to receive the exact version shown in the listing. I saw in some review photos that people got the newer, more colorful covers, which are definitely pretty, but I personally wanted the classic semi-OG ones. So happy it matched the listing. Came in great condition!

Great set and great price! My daughter was excited to have this set. However her Mockingjay book has a section of 30 pages missing and they are further in the book!! Obviously I don’t think the seller did this so I don’t want to rate the seller bad they didn’t make the books! I am going to reach out and see if they can exchange the set or book and hopefully not get another messed up book. I told her to page through the other books and see if she notices anything but otherwise great set!!

Not backlit. Doesn’t recognize multi-tap functionality, so you can’t pinch to zoom in or out. Batteries not included, which is fine because I can’t seem to find a spot for the batteries. It must use those flat watch type batteries in the spine somewhere because this thing just keeps on going. I’ve been reading them for over 7 days without replacing the batteries or docking the books back into their box station. Every time I’ve opened it, the page is there, not even fading. Like I’ve said, I’ve had this thing on maximum contrast and brightness settings for over a week, amazing battery life! One criticism when you close it; it won’t remember where you last left off. There is a life hack for that though; if you look at the spine of the book, you can see crease marks, so make a line from the last crease mark to the opposite side and you’ll be close to the last spot you browsed in your history. No built in GPS tracking, so try not to loose it. Also, the IP rating is 00, meaning it’s not water proof at all. IP01 would be resistant to condensation, but this book isn’t even rated for that. Putting it in rice did nothing to save it. I mean, it still functions, but the overall image on any page I bring up is kinda wavy now. Getting it wet pretty much voids the warranty. Also, not fire resistant. On drop testing; it performed well. From both 3 feet and 5 feet it survived being dropped onto concrete. Minor scuffs to the spine at best. For recycling purposed and to be Earth friendly green; this product can be recycled or repurposed into various art projects. Overall, it’s a durable product and good investment.

The books were in top notch condition, the covers were beautifully illustrated and the sprayed edges are something that no words can describe. Overall the story and the product was a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars.

If you're on this page, chances are you already know the story of The Hunger Games—so this review is all about the quality of the Deluxe Hunger Games Collection hardcover edition. I missed out on buying the original hardcovers when they were first released, and now that Sunrise on the Reaping is out, those early editions have become pretty much unaffordable. This deluxe set was a great alternative at a much more reasonable price. The books don’t come with dust jackets—instead, the cover illustrations are printed directly onto the hardcover. They're vibrant, striking, and look fantastic lined up on my bookshelf. I found that this was my best affordable option to own the series in hardcover. Also worth noting: Scholastic has released an illustrated edition of the first Hunger Games book, which is beautiful—but as of now, I haven't heard any word on whether they’ll illustrate the rest of the series. Until then, this deluxe edition is an affordable and visually appealing option if you like collecting hardcover editions.
