Walked to 1/4 mile to the mail box with no hat, opened the mail box and this was delivered. Stood there and took it out and walked back. Felt so good to have sun protection. I have Vitiligo, No skin pigment, and have to avoid the sun all the time. Most of my hats are too tight, this one is perfect, has a strap to keep it in place and a long flap to cover your neck. Best money I ever spent for a hat. Love it.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this after a few months of wearing it. I got it for outdoor use as added shade but also some protection from bugs. It does a great job with both of those and I like that it has a wide brim that is sturdy in the front but not rigid in the back. I have another hat with a rigid brim all around that falls off if I look up and this one doesn't have that problem. My former hat was straw and I also much prefer the lightweight material of this one for hot weather. The brim provides a good amount of shade while the back and top fabric is very breathable and I don't feel my head overheating as I did with the straw hat.I'm a petite female and the default size of this is too big for my head but it has two different ways to adjust it. You can tighten one strap that goes under your chin and also tighten it around the back so it stays on a bit better. The plastic things that let you adjust it are VERY sturdy and I actually have to use two hands to tighten it or loosen it, but this just means it stays very firmly in the position you want without loosening on its own. Once I found the perfect fit, I haven't had to fiddle with it since.One thing I didn't realize when I bought this is that it isn't waterproof at all. There is a small area on each side that is just open mesh which I didn't notice while buying so I wanted to point it out.It's starting to show a little wear after several months of use like some loose stitches on the brim and the back now curls up slightly. It's still in pretty good shape overall though, the brim is still very sturdy and has held its shape, and it does everything I want it to. I think it was a great price too and I'm pleased I bought it.

I do not like to wear hats; I feel like my head is smothering and as if I'll sweat to death in them. With this said, this hat is not bad! I didn't feel like it was over-bearing or smothering me but when I would take it off to re-adjust my hair, I did notice a temperature difference and an immediate cool down ... the good thing is that I didn't realize that it retained my head's heat until I would take it off, and (again), it was not bad / I didn't feel too warm. I liked that I could cinch the hat to be more snug when the wind kicked up (so I wouldn't lose my hat), and it definitely helped me to be able to tolerate the So. CA heat while on vacation. I loved that the visor kept the sun out of my eyes, and the neck flap kept the sun off of my neck. I would have given the hat 5 stars if the crown had been vented because the hat really is decent. I bought the light khaki, and it was a lot darker than the picture (closer to their darker khaki hat) but, that didn't matter to me ... I bought it for comfort vs. fashion (even though it doesn't look bad).

Accomplishes what I wanted it to do. Due to treatment for precancerous skin lesions on my forehead I was advised that I needed to avoid the sun for 2 months. This hat definitely covers all of my head during my runs. It also has a soft sweatband on the inside. Nicely made of comfortable material. Neck strap holds it secure when confronting wind. No irritation when running. Probably continue to use it during the summer months.Excellent value for the price. Only suggestion would be to add a few small reflective pieces on front, back and sides for when running toward dusk. A slightly larger sweat band would also be nice.

I am a 65 year old woman that loves to garden and be outdoors. The past few years the sun has been causing some issues with my skin. Hence, skin protection for my face and neck. This hat is ideal and it is lightweight and made of 100% nylon. The fabric on the back of this hat drapes beautifully on the back of my neck and is beyond comfortable, not scratchy or stiff like other hats. As a woman I have a larger head and this hat fits perfectly and comfortably yet it is adjustable for an average or smaller head. The brim is stiffer than the rest of the hat which makes it retain its perfect shape. The drawstring strap is very soft and adjustable and their are air vents at the top of the hat. I bought another hat along with this one but I absolutely love this one the most. I will be getting another one. P.S. I got the khaki one 😉

I do not usually wear hats; other hats have made my head feel squeezed, no matter what the size. I purchased this hat for protection for specific eye and skin conditions. LOVED IMMEDIATELY. Light weight but sturdy. COMFORTABLE. Protects eyes, face, neck. First day I used hat, the strap under chin saved my hat from unexpected unexpected wind ..never thought I would need the strap/cord. En México no hay ningún producto como éste y a mí me gustó demasiado, es una muy buena relación calidad-precio y super funcional, no te limita la visita y el escucha, con la cinta se sujeta muy bien al cuello y además el sombrero tiene unos ganchitos para sujetar los laterales a la cinta de ajuste, lo cual reduce los laterales para que te cubra en situaciones de mucho aire o cuando el sol pega de lado. Además tiene opción para ajuste en la cabeza lo cual ayuda al ajuste en diferentes tamaños de cabeza, desde mi punto de vista puede ser usado por infantes desde los 7 u 8 años.
