EDIT: After having this for about a year now I can say that it's actually a good device if you get one that works. I used it both as a wifi repeater AND as an Access Point. There are absolutely zero instructions with this thing so you will be left to figure things out on your own. It does have a fairly strong signal and has a good range.The instructions show how to use it as a "repeater" only - and it does fine at that however if you want to use it as an Access Point you'll need to do something different.If you want to use it as an Access Point (or AP), then reset it to default settings and connect the ethernet cable to the WAN port (W one). Almost instantly it will start working as a wifi access point. You'll want to go in and set up a WIFI password etc in the admin panel.OLD REVIEW: I actually bought two of these to extend the range of my wifi since my router is in the basement. One of them kind of works. I have to reset it from time to time which is annoying. The other one never worked right. I was able to configure it but it wouldn't allow me to access the internet once I connected to it. These are pretty much garbage.. I'd go with a NetGear one.

Bought this as I was experiencing low connection in the other room, which is the farthest in the apt from the router. Was skeptical at first but after several weeks of testing, it does appear to boost the connection. Package arrived in a timely manner and was wrapped nicely. The instructions were also easy to follow.

I bough this device for my basement office ,it worked well I got full signal bars,it very easy to setup,but just the setup IP dosnt work some time have to try many time.

Tried resetting device and was getting "network not available". Do not see how you contact customer support. Rating low because was stated support would be available but contact is not listed anywhere. More "trash made in China". Going to buy an American made product.

It took about 5 minutes to set up using the WPS button on the router and the extender. I logged onto a centyeylink speed test site and moved the extender to seveneal second floor outlets until i found the best signal. I get the same speed wifi up stairs as i do down stairs where the router is located. This was an excellent purchase and an excellent product.

This thing is the biggest piece of crap I have ever laid eyes on! Absolutely no customer support. Instructions that came with it are virtually useless. As far as I can tell, the only thing that works on this thing is the led light. I guess its good if you just need to know if your outlet has power, anything past that...its a paper weight, but not even a good one at that! THE ONLY REASON I GAVE IT ONE STAR IS BECAUSE AMAZON WOULDN’T LET ME GIVE IT NONE
