Fire-Maple Greenpeak 1 Camping Stove with Piezo Ignition Portable Gas Stove

Amazing product. The build quality is impressive. It lights every single time. It was compatible with the cheapo Coleman canister I could get at Walmart. We used this hard on a 3 week long trip. It didn't disappoint. I've used this and a Jetboil - I'd choose this over the Jetboil any day. It boils insanely fast, it's lightweight, and more versatile. I don't have experience with a Pocket Rocket or other high end stoves - so I can't compare it to those. Because of how fast this boils, I now grow impatient waiting for my stove and electric kettle at home to boil. I'm about ready to start boiling my pour over water on the porch with the Firemaple instead.

This stove is lightweight, small, adjustable, a great price, and can accomodate most cook pots, but perfectly fits the Petrel G3 (and G2) camping pot, making for good cooking/boiling stability. The piezoelectric igniter is a great addition, works every time.

I got this with the Fire Maple Petrel pot since they're supposed to pair well after reading about it in another review. I don't know if I used the right fuel but the description said isobutane only, but all I can find is Isobutane-propane mix so I used it. Didn't seem to take any damage so I guess it's the right mix. Anyway, I packed a bunch of foods in mylar bags and decided to try this before my upcoming trip and I'm glad I did. Perhaps it's the fact it's 100f weather outside, but it boiled 1.5c in under a minute at MAYBE 1/3-open. Unfortunately the rubber on the handle of the pot did melt a little but I honestly didn't expect it to actually work. Ir maybe I need to turn it down further? Awesome if that's the case. At any rate, very happy with this stove since starting a campfire where I will be camping is a dumb idea with how dry it will be. Edit, 10/30/24: I've had the opportunity to finally cook with this thing in the low 60's and high 50's, and if it doesn't have a gas pressure regulator in it, I'll be surprised. I'm able to cook my soups and even an actual meal of sausage, peppers and onions in tomato sauce on it using a small ceramic lined titanium skillet I borrowed from a friend and it's doing great. I'm actually still on the first canister of the size that is marketed to fit in the pot I mentioned above, and I've cooked or warmed up food or water about 17 times now. I found that I did have the heat up too high and that's why the rubber on my pot's handle melted, so that's on me. On that bit, just being patient and letting it do its thing is what I believe I owe to having lasted through the first canister for so long. It's getting low now, but still impressive. Also, the piezo is working less now, but I attribute that to the wind here, as it's pretty windy. I typically just have to open it up a bit more then wait a second or two before clicking it. There IS one arm starting to stick, so I think I might put something on it to try to get it to loosen up. Gotta think about that one though so I don't burn it up. Overall, incredibly impressed and happy with this purchase. Edit 3/7/26: going to clarify that it was the Greenpeak 1 and Petrel G3 since they updated the names and have more options on here now. Turns out the piezo wasn't going bad, it just didn't have the pressure valve and I needed to turn it up more. The arm that started to stick works fine now, just needed to be broken in a bit more. I also upgraded to the Ramen Pot and I'm incredibly satisfied now, it nests that orange tripod stand, this stove and a rolled up handkerchief just fine.

I got this stove to replace my lost MSR PocketRocket 2 and was very surprised at how well made and functional it was. It fit the butane/propane tank nicely, and came with a built in spark lighter that easily started the flame. At a cost of only 40% of what the MSR stove cost me, it is a great deal so I can highly recommend it to those of you who love backpacking and camping and like to keep the equipment small and light.

Received this a few days ago and testing it before using it on my trip. Pros: Good construction Igniter works each time I tested it so far (20x) Good seal around canister stem (no gas leak when tightening like others sometimes do) Strong flame output and adjustable to create a low fire simmer Lightweight and compact when folded up Excellent low price Cons: Only con I have is that there is no regulator for cold climate use I'd buy this stove again and recommend it for anybody needing a good stove and on a budget.

Great little stove. It works. I was quite surprised based on what I paid for it. I keep it tucked inside my Stanley Adventure Set (older model) packing only one cup. Perfect for boiling water for coffee, tea or Ramen. Happy with the purchase! 😎

I was skeptical of the quality of this stove for the price, but after a week of using it at scout camp, I'm a believer. This stove is super easy to use with standard MSR fuel canisters. Simply screw the canister onto the burner, place it on a flat and level surface for stability, turn on the gas valve, and push the igniter button, instant cooking BTUs! The design is compact and lightweight, but the materials seem very durable. Great for backpacking or even to stash in a bug-out kit with a spare MSR fuel canister for emergencies, it's a great little stove. Not as fast as a jet boil, but a hell of a lot cheaper and more versatile.

Summary: 10/10 recommend. I used this over the past weekend on a 30 mile hike. I boiled water and cooked in my fire maple setup which includes a Fire-Maple G2 750 ml pot, Fire-Maple Greenpeak 2 Camp Stove, and the G2 Pot Protective Black Neoprene Sleeve. It was amazing. The fire maple Greenpeak 2 stove was highly efficient in combo with the G2 Pot and G2 Protective Sleeve. The sleeve acts as an amazing insulator, helping me boil water in about half the time as my other camp stove set ups, and keeping the water in the pot hot for more than twice the time after boiling. I used this set up for 9 meals last weekend and was very very happy. This was very easy to use with the fire-maple ecosystem. It was a very fair price compared to competitors. Everything fit out of the box and looked awesome. The 750ml capacity was a good volume for 1-2 person camping meals. The pot felt very stable on top of the Greenpeak 2 stove. The whole set up is about the same weight as my other set ups, but a whole lot more efficient. After use and abuse over the last 30 miles, I am thrilled with how this system holds up. It is a durable set up. Looks brand new after getting bounced around for 15 hours in my backpack.

Einer der wenigen druckregulierten Kocher. Im Vergleich zum Soto Windmaster oder MSR Pocket Rocket Deluxe deutlich preiswerter. Lässt sich gut in meinem Kochgeschirr unterbringen. Ich habe ihn hauptsächlich dafür gekauft um auch bei normalen Wanderungen etwas Wasser zu Kochen (für ein Nudelgericht oder Heißgetränk). Dafür ist die Qualität vermutlich ausreichend - auch wenn es sich bei dem Kocher nicht um eine Premium-Marke wie Soto oder MSR handelt. Ich freue mich schon auf den ersten Einsatz bei einer Wanderung und ergänze dann gerne die Bewertung.

La flamme est vive, bien répartie, et chauffe la popote très rapidement sans gaspiller de gaz. - Le brûleur est solide, les finitions propres, et le réglage de flamme se fait avec précision. Même par vent léger, la combustion reste stable. - J’apprécie aussi son format : il rentre dans une main, parfait dans un sac de randonnée ultra light. Après plusieurs utilisations, aucun jeu dans les pièces, pas de fuite, et la flamme reste régulière.
