Q: I forgot which side goes in first

Make sure the filter has pull tabs turned towards you when placing it inside the filter cavity. The black foam/carpet material covering the filter (prefilter, Velcro part) needs to also be turned towards you when placing it inside the machine.

Q: What does mp stand for?

MP stands for Molecular Powder. This filter is equipped with molecular powder material to take care of "natural occurring" odors such as mold/mildew, sweat, body odor, dog/cat smells etc.
